Gemma Atkinson has announced the name of her and Gorka Marquez’s baby boy in a lovely photo.
The former Hollyoaks star, 38, and her Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer, 32, who met on the show in 2017, announced on Wednesday, July 19, that she had given birth.
They’ve now shared a first look at him with a sweet picture in his cot, and revealed his name: ‘Thiago Thomas Marquez’.
‘Our family is complete,’ Gemma wrote.
The post was inundated with congratulations, with Strictly Come Dancing‘s Oti Mabuse responding, ‘Beautiful.’
Sheridan Smith added: ‘Congratulations.’

Their new addition is a younger brother for Mia, whom they welcomed on July 4, 2019.
Gemma announced the birth of their son on Instagram, revealing that her ‘little man is here’.
‘Little man is here! He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful. Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be,’ she wrote.
‘We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week.
‘Thank you for all the lovely well wishes. Our family is complete.’
Gemma also included a family of four, two pets, and four red hearts, while Gorka posted the exact same message on his Instagram Story.
In a subsequent post, she expressed gratitude to the medical personnel that assisted her throughout the birth.
‘And a massive massive thank you to the maternity unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital. You are all angels,’ she wrote.
‘We honestly could have asked for better care from you all. Just as you were with Mia, your care and expertise was wonderful. Thank you,’ she added, including the hashtag ‘#nhsworkers’ and three clapping emojis.
Gemma and Gorka announced weeks before the birth of their kid that they had signed on to feature in their own reality TV show.
Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens will take an uncensored look at their life as they prepare for the arrival of their kid while coping with the strains of motherhood and work.
The three-part series for W and UKTV Play will debut this summer and will follow Gemma’s pregnancy from conception through birth.
Gemma and Gorka announced their pregnancy earlier this year with a series of lovely black and white photos, including one of Mia snuggling up to her growing baby tummy and another of the Spanish dancer grinning from ear to ear.
She wrote: ‘Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially “popped.” 😂 Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year 💙.
‘We feel so incredibly blessed and Grateful to be on this journey again. Mia is absolutely thrilled! Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie.’
After meeting on Strictly, when Gemma was paired with Alijaz Skorjanec and Gorka with Alexandra Burke, the couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2021.
Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year.
