Gemma Collins has revealed her opulent wedding preparations following her engagement to Rami Hawash, and her buddies Jedward have a very crucial task.
The Only Way is The 43-year-old Essex actress will marry her 49-year-old businessman fiancé three times.
Gemma revealed her ideas for the lavish wedding, saying she wanted several ceremonies – one in the UK, another abroad, and a ‘formal one’ for the couple’s closest friends and family.
She said that her famous friends John and Edward Grimes, also known as Jedward, will accompany her down the aisle, and that she and Rami consider them children, alongside Rami’s biological son Tristan.
‘They are my dog’s godfathers, after all. They’re honestly like family to me, I adore them,’ Gemma told The Mirror.
Rami added: ‘Jedward are like our kids and they’re so good to Tristan. They’re part of our family now.’
In addition to various ceremonies, the reality TV personality plans to have a range of wedding clothes, drawing inspiration from Lady Gaga and Victoria Beckham while designing her bridal looks.
She continued: ‘I would love something similar to the lace one Lady Gaga wore in House Of Gucci. I might even go back to my roots and wear something really Essex-like and over the top.
‘At the moment I’m thinking something Italian-themed, then a ‘wow’ one with a huge train. I might even recreate Victoria Beckham’s wedding moment with the tiara, I loved that.’
Gemma would want DJ Fat Tony to offer entertainment, and she plans to invite her old TOWIE co-stars.
Gemma and Rami have been together on and off since 2011, and they announced their engagement in 2021, after Rami proposed on a holiday in the Maldives.
Gemma and Rami met in the iconic Chigwell bar King William, and Rami appeared on TOWIE season nine while dating the actress.
They originally became engaged in 2013, when Rami proposed in a novel and festive manner, concealing a sparkling ring in a Christmas pudding.
The couple called off their engagement weeks later, but rekindled their affair after Gemma divorced from James ‘Arg’ Argent in 2020.
Gemma and Rami were seen on several outings together before declaring their affair in 2021 and getting engaged months later.
Confirming the news at the time, Gemma told The Times: ‘Yeah, but we can’t really come out and say anything yet because Ram was married before and his paperwork has not come through, so until that’s officially signed, we’ve not said anything.
‘They’ve not been together for two years. I know her, she’s got a partner, she’s as good as gold. There’s a child involved, he’s only three, obviously I love him to death. But until that paperwork’s signed I can’t come out.’
Gemma opened out about the romantic occasion on Valentine’s Day, assuring fans that her engagement ring is ‘big’ and sharing some words of wisdom with her Instagram followers.
‘I’m blown away and in a total love bubble right now,’ she said. ‘I want you all to know the universe will always lead you to who your meant to be with.
‘If you are single this Valentine’s embrace your time embrace yourself because one day you WILL BE ❤️ he/she … them/they are COMING for YOU.
‘So live your life and just trust the process and girls I didn’t have a clue I had no make up ! no bra on !!!! I didn’t know it was being filmed I thought I was having a chilled beach dinner,’ she added.
‘You have all been on this huge journey with me !!! I spent so many years not being appreciated for the woman I am !!!!
‘Wasted so much time on the wrong people who took advantage of my good nature heart … however it lead me to my KING @rami_hawash_ this man APPRECIATES ME one million percent!
