George Clooney has made a triumphant return to the world of coffee, appearing in his first Nespresso commercial in four years.
The famous actor, 61, has been the face of the coffee company for almost a decade, appearing in commercials for them since 2013.
His last appearance came alongside Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer, with Clooney portraying a medieval knight in search of the perfect coffee.
Now he’s back sharing the screen with actor Jean Dujardin after the pair last appeared together for Nespresso in 2014.
That campaign, titled How Far Would You Go for a Nespresso?, saw Clooney and Dujardin attempt to get hold of the last coffee pod in a series of dares.
And now, alongside French actress Camille Cottin, the pair are back to challenging each other to get their precious morning hit of caffeine.

With one pod remaining from Clooney’s collection, the pair fight over it until it falls out of the window into the balcony below.
As Dujardin lowers Clooney down one floor, the Oceans actor notices that Cottin has already made her own coffee and steals hers and returns to his own apartment with the pod for Dujardin.
However, Clooney is rumbled when Cottin knocks on his door and takes her fresh coffee back. With a reminder to recycle, she gifts a fresh coffee pod to Clooney.

Speaking about the advert, Clooney said: ‘We had a great time shooting this sequel – being reunited with Jean is always a pleasure.’
He continued: ‘But this time having the brilliant Camille bring her touch of sophistication to the set made for the perfect dynamic.
‘With coffee taste and sustainability being at the heart of this commercial, it felt natural for me to be part of the campaign with my Nespresso family.’

Clooney may be a total action hero in the quest for caffeine, but he recently admitted that his proposal to his wife Amal Clooney didn’t quite go to plan and left him worrying he could ‘lose a hip’.
He had planned for her to find the ring in a box while he got down on one knee during dinner, but that wasn’t quite how the event transpired.
‘I think there’s a lighter in that little box [to re-light a candle]. She pulls this thing out, this little drawer, and there’s a diamond ring in there.
‘She looks at it and she’s like, “There’s a ring in there… somebody left a ring there years ago.”‘
‘I literally said, “Listen, I really would like to marry you but I also am not young, and I’ve been on my knee now and I could lose a hip”.’
Perhaps he just needs to sit down with a nice cup of coffee.
