The supermodel, who is expecting her first child with Zayn Malik in 2020, couldn’t help but reflect on the past to mark the occasion.
Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old – who has yet to reveal the child’s face on social media – posted a series of images over the previous few years, demonstrating how much she has grown.
The Guest In Residence founder could be seen cuddling Khai as a baby in one photo, while the birthday girl demolished the colourful cake from her first celebration in another.
Alongside the adorable collection of throwbacks, the mom-of-one wrote: ‘Have been celebrating our THREE YR OLD this week & just so honored to get to be her mama, to get to see life through her!!!!
‘Happy Birthday to my sweetest, smartest, spunkiest bestie!!!!!!!! DREAM KID / love of my life.’
Fans and celebrities instantly filled the comments section with birthday greetings for Khai.

Gigi and Zayn began dating in 2015 and welcomed Khai together in 2020, but ended their relationship the following year.
Despite their divorce, the couple has stayed close for the sake of their daughter and has co-parented her.
In an interview on Call Her Daddy, the former One Direction singer discussed his relationship with the child, stressing that he will always prioritise her.
‘Since I’ve had my daughter the main thing in my life is trying to be a good example to her,’ he told the host. ‘That’s why I’m even doing this interview.’
‘I used to get a lot of anxiety around doing a conversation like this but I want her to be able to look at me and say, “My dad’s doing this”.
‘I keep being told I’m telling dad jokes and I’m leaning into it. It’s okay, it’s cool.
‘People just look at me like I’m a weirdo and I’m like, “Well, I’m a dad now so I’m allowed to tell these jokes!”
