Don’t bother making jokes about Gordon Ramsay‘s age now that he’s a father again, since he’s already doing it.
The 57-year-old famous chef stunned everyone earlier this month when he revealed that he and wife Tana, 49, had welcomed their sixth child together.
Gordon made the announcement with an Instagram post of their newborn, writing: ‘What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!!
‘One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done’.
Gordon has come out for the first time about being a father of six children, claiming he feels ‘fortunate’.
He’s also well-prepared to be the eldest parent picking up the kids from school.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas over the weekend, Gordon said when asked how things are going: ‘Extraordinary.’
‘Really extraordinary, just blessed,’ he added.
‘I’m also sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the drop-off at school, so I’ll keep my cap and glasses on.’
Gordon and Tana, 49, are already parents to Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 23, Tilly, 21, and Oscar, four.
Only a few months ago, the TV star talked up about his concerns about having another child with Tana, whom he married in 1996.
Despite Tana ‘wanting another one’, Gordon said in September that he had concerns regarding his age.
‘I’m going to be the oldest f****r at school,’ he complained once again.
‘”Who’s your grandad?” And what about sports day, and the egg and spoon race? What am I going to do?’
Despite this, he admitted on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett that he would ‘love another one’ but that ‘five is plenty for now’.
Gordon has previously pranked the public by saying that Tana was expecting.
He made an announcement on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden in January, but quickly backtracked.
Jamie asked him: ‘Gordon, you have five kids, right?’, to which he replied: ‘Last time I looked there was five, yes. I think there’s one more on the way.’
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda interrupted in shock, ‘What?’, as Gordon replied: ‘Seriously.’
Jamie asked, ‘You’ve not got another one on the way?’, with Gordon adding: ‘Tana’s jeans aren’t fitting her.’
Not convinced that Gordon was being serious, Amanda pushed: ‘Is it Christmas or is it a baby?’
Gordon eventually recognised what he’d gotten himself into and made a remark about ‘double checking’ when he got home.
If only we had known what we know today!
