Richie Myler, Helen Skelton‘s ex husband, is said to have had a baby with fiancée Stephanie Thirkill.
Richie, 32, who plays rugby for Leeds Rhinos, divorced the Countryfile reporter and Strictly Come Dancing star, 39, in April 2022, just four months after Elsie, their third child, was born.
At the time, Helen verified the news, saying she was “very sad to say Richie and I are no longer a couple” and that he had “left the family home” after eight years of marriage.
Stephanie Thirkill, 32, is the daughter of Andrew Thirkill, one of Leeds’ richest businessmen and proprietor of the Leeds Rhinos, for whom Richie Myler plays rugby. Richie’s absence was due to the birth of his fourth kid, according to Rhinos boss Rohan Smith.
‘Richie has spent a bunch of time in hospital with the birth of his new little baby, so we’ve given him a little time off to settle in at home,’ he said.
Helen and Richie were married since December 2013, and their divorce came just over eight years later.
Helen, 38, and Richie, 31, received their third child, daughter Elsie Kate, four months ago.
They also have two children, Ernie, six, and Louis, four.
In her short statement, Helen told her followers: ‘Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children,’ alongside two heartbroken emoji.
It’s said Celebs Go Dating bosses are keen to get her involved following her split from Richie.
A source told The Sun: ‘Helen has already proved she is great on TV and is really interesting to watch.
‘The public really felt for her after her split and bosses think everyone would love to see her dating journey.’
However, despite bosses reportedly making a sizeable offer to get her on board, it’s thought Helen isn’t keen on ‘sharing that part of her life’ on air.
The insider added: ‘They are willing to offer her big bucks to take part, but it looks like Helen really isn’t interested in sharing that part of her life. It would take a lot to change her mind.’
