As summer fades into September and the return to school approaches, Holly Willoughby says she’s clutching on with every fibre of her body.
The This Morning host, 42, has spent her summer vacations with her and her husband Daniel Baldwin’s three children, including a trip to Portugal.
But, as Holly conceded this week, all good things must come to an end, as she pondered on her ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ summer.
Holly, who is expected to receive a significant pay increase when she returns to the This Morning couch on September 4, stated in her most recent Wylde Moon newsletter: ‘It truly has been a case of blink and you’ll miss it this summer – in every way!
‘I can feel myself clinging on with every fibre of my being as conversations about school start to drip feed back into our life.’
According to HELLO!, she added: ‘I even popped the obligatory September kit list on the fridge this morning having got the kids to try everything on to see what we need.

‘I swear I only bought new football boots last term…their feet never stop growing!’
Holly also said: ‘We’re not quite at the end just yet though and with the last Bank Holiday hurrah incoming, I’ve got everything crossed for a bit of late sunshine so we can see the summer out with family and friends in the back garden.’
Holly’s This Morning pay is expected to be increased from £700,000 to much to £1 million per year, according to reports earlier this month.
A source shared: ‘Holly’s pay deal is up for negotiation in a few months so they are putting together a lucrative package that will reflect her added responsibility without Phil, and they are prepared to go up to £1million a year.’
They added to The Sun: ‘Producers will splash the cash on showbiz guests, and exclusive human interest stories. Viewers can expect lots of glitz and glamour. But Holly will definitely be the jewel in their crown.’
Since Phillip Schofield, 61, resigned from ITV after confessing to lying about an affair with a runner, the Dancing on Ice host has been presenting with several co-hosts, including Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary.
