Molly-Mae Hague and her fiancé Tommy Fury departed the United Kingdom on Boxing Day for the Maldives.
The pair, who met on Love Island, have embarked on a journey of a lifetime with their 11-month-old daughter Bambi.
The lucky child is soon running out of passport pages, having already travelled to Paris, Ibiza, Athens, Barbados, and Dubai before even celebrating her first birthday! At this rate, she’ll be hired as a special advisor for Lonely Planet as soon as she can write.
Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 24, had planned to skip Bambi for the holiday and spend time alone. They made a last-minute decision to add her to the booking after feeling uneasy about not being with Bambi on her first New Year’s Eve.
‘To be completely honest and 100% real with you, originally it was meant to be just Tommy and me going for a romantic holiday and our present to each other for Christmas,’ she shared in a YouTube video, where she documented her Christmas day.
‘As it got closer and the holiday came around, we were both saying we didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of spending New Year’s away from Bambi. That was breaking both of our hearts.’
If Molly-Mae is going to do one thing, it’s keep us updated on her life since her profession necessitates it.
This means that while we’re eating leftover turkey and wondering what day of the week it is, we can check in on the family of three on the South Asian island.
We received our first glimpse of the excursion on the airline ride over, when the family had upgraded their seats.
Instead of cramming into the economy area, they received their own pods and ate their meals with proper utensils!
Despite having the best seats in the house, Molly-Mae had to ‘sit on the floor’ so that Bambi could fall asleep.
Alongside a photo of Bambi snoozing, she wrote: ‘I’ll just sit on the floor then Bambi x.’
Molly-Mae revealed why Bambi had an unexpected thing in her mouth in the candid shot.
‘She can’t fall asleep without a tag in her mouth. Cutest thing ever. She’s literally obsessed with tags/labels.’
After the approximately 10-hour trip and transfer from the main island to the sea resort, they were finally ready to begin their family vacation.
The three is staying at The Ritz-Carlton on Fari Islands in a water villa with a private sun terrace, infinity swimming pool, and steps that go right into the Indian Ocean. Each apartment features privacy screens, so they won’t see any other tourists until they leave the island.
The professional fighter also wasted no time in giving us a thorough tour of the home, including visits at the fully-stocked bar and marble bathroom with his and her basins.
The Ritz welcomed them with a welcome package that included a bottle of Whispering Angel wine, a fan, and a wash bag. This kind of luxury does not come cheap, with their villa costing roughly £2400 each night. If you’re a member, it drops to £2354 in early December next year (New Year’s Eve isn’t currently accessible for booking).
Don’t worry, you will receive complimentary bottled water, which will save you money! In addition, you will receive daily breakfast, a king bed, and butler service.
The family will be allowed to select between seven restaurants and bars for each meal and can inquire about childcare for an additional charge.
Each night the sunset will be accompanied by a ‘refined Bodu Beru performance and a flaming ceremony,’ and they will bring out all the stops for New Year’s Eve.
The island will be throwing a special gala which will include ‘immersive performances, enchanting live music, and a showcase of culinary delight.’
They will be able to attend a BBQ lunch on the beach on New Year’s Day, which is a wonderful way to start 2024 in our opinion (and probably anyone’s).
We hope they have a good time. Us? We are 90% thrilled for them and 10% envious.
