Siân Welby, known for delivering Capital FM’s radio breakfast programme, is the new face of This Morning, and it turns out she’s also an expert at DIY house repairs.
Siân, 37, has previously featured as an entertainment correspondent on the ITV magazine show This Morning.
However, she has left her radio job and is taking over as a key presenter on This Morning with Dermot O’Leary, after Holly Willoughby‘s resignation in October.
Siân spends her time off screen with her fiancé Jake Beckett, where they enjoy their ever-changing house, which they are continuously upgrading with some excellent DIY talents.
The broadcaster has given viewers a sneak peek at the entire process on social media, from creative flourishes to some banging outdoor furniture.
Starting from the exterior, Sian had a traditional London rectangular outdoor garden with just enough space to create something spectacular.
That she did, as seen by a before-and-after photo of a concrete slab turned into an uber-chic chillout spot complete with a deep outside corner sofa.

But the al fresco glow-up didn’t stop there; she also considered atmosphere, people, enormous fairy lights, and a wall of leafy enchantment.
That’s only the outside. If you’ve ever wondered what to do with plain hallway walls, look no further.
The radio DJ gave hers a fresh coat of paint – literally, as she used the brand Lick and the shade 001 Teal (in case you’re feeling inspired).

She ended the edgy hue shift with a Ted Lasso-esque piece of motivational wall art at the end that stated ‘Dream On’ in swirly multicoloured letters.
Meanwhile, while most of us were presumably doing nothing, Siân took advantage of a bank holiday in London to redecorate her living room.
There was no Elephant Breath to Rhino Breath hue difference; Siân went bold. She may as well, as it looks Lick gave her the 03 Red paint for the Instagram advertisement.
Don’t be concerned; the effect was somewhat more terracotta and burned red dirt than crimson.

Along with a video of herself getting dirty painting the walls – and utilising the vital sellotape trick (please do not paint without this), Siân admits in the commentary it was a ‘bold’ decision.
‘Bank Holiday Living Room makeover!’ she wrote, continuing: ‘Went for a bold colour this time! Bit of a gamble but I love the end result. Used @lick Red 03 and only needed 2 coats (with a 2 hour drying time between coats) so super quick transformation – All done in the same afternoon!
‘And yes before you rinse me…I did paint AROUND the telly 🤣🤣🤣 we couldn’t get it off! 🤦♀️ that’s a problem for another day!’
Siân’s life took an exciting turn last year when her radio producer fiancé proposed.
The bride-to-be shared a photo of the couple appearing ecstatically joyful on social media, admitting that it was a complete surprise proposal.
‘On Tuesday I thought we were just going on a boat trip!!’ she said. ‘Genuinely didn’t see this coming. For once I am totally speechless. I didn’t think it mattered until he asked me, and then suddenly it meant everything.
‘Love you Jakey x 15.8.23.’
