This week, Jack Black verified that a School of Rock revival is taking place.
The actor, 53, played Dewey Finn, a substitute music instructor, in the Richard Linklater-directed film back in 2004, and by the sounds of it, even Jack can’t believe how rapidly time has passed.
In September, while advertising his new feature The Super Mario Bros. Movie, in which he plays the villainous Bowser, Jack spoke about School of Rock’s 20th anniversary.
‘All those kids were 10 years old when we did that movie, and now they’re all, like, 30,’ he said.
‘We’re going to get together and celebrate our 20th anniversary. We enjoy jamming. ‘I’m excited to see all of the adults from School of Rock,’ the A-lister told ET.
In addition, he vowed to ‘100%’ share photos of the cast’s get-together. Yes, absolutely.
It comes after Jack caused a stir among Star Wars aficionados with his appearance in the most recent episode of The Mandalorian (if you haven’t seen the episode yet, spoiler alert what what is below).
Lizzo made a surprise appearance, as did Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd.
Fans couldn’t believe their eyes when the pair showed on screen, dressed to the nines in galaxy attire, and now they’ve both addressed their appearances with great photos on social media.
‘So fun working with @lizzobeeating on @themandalorian as the monarch and queen of Plazir-15!!!’ Jack captioned two photos of himself on location with Lizzo, 34.
Meanwhile, Lizzo revelled in the reality that she is now a part of the Star Wars universe.
She captioned a picture of herself encircled by Baby Yoda goods, including a cuddly toy she was clutching with both hands, ‘I’m in Star Wars YALL!’
The musician’s photo with all of the Grogus is especially appropriate given that she suited up as the character for Halloween in 2021. Iconic.
