Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has revealed that his two-year-old daughter Ella, who he shares with fellow ex-pro and wife Ola, has been ‘really unwell’ with a double ear infection.
He shared a health update on his daughter after fans asked on Saturday why he wasn’t tweeting along with the BBC flagship show, offering his opinions and critiques on the dances, as he does every other week.
Taking to the social media platform, he explained the reason for his absence and that his toddler’s wellbeing was, of course, taking his full attention.
‘Unfortunately guys – Ella is really unwell so won’t be tweeting tonight. Big love to all,’ he posted not long into the programme’s broadcast.
Followers then rushed to share their sympathies in the comments, sending the little one well wishes.
‘Family is much more important … sending love to you all,’ responded one fan, while another added: ‘Hope Ella gets better soon. There’s nothing worse than seeing your little one unwell. Sending love to all 3 of you xxx.’

He returned to the microblogging site on Sunday to thank people for their love and said that she had been ill for a month and fighting off an infection that had now spread in both ears, calling it a ‘tough few days’ for them all.
‘Hi guys – thanks for all of the lovely messages about Ella,’ he wrote.
‘She’s still quite poorly but doing better. After 1 month of being ill she now has ear infection in both ears so been tough few days. But she’s a Jordan and a fighter!’
He later shared that he and Ola, who recently celebrated 19 years of marriage, were still trying to get further treatment for Ella and had even called up the NHS 111 helpline

‘Tough to watch Ella in so much pain from her ear infection. She is on antibiotics – Calpol every 4 hours and Ibuprofen every 4 hours but 2 hours later,’ he posted.
‘’Got through to 111 after 1hour 10mins and they said see doctor in morning. She just said to Ola while crying “what shall I do?”’
The couple welcomed Ella in February 2020 through IVF treatment, having previously spoken honestly about their difficulties conceiving naturally.
Ola admitted in an interview with Hello! magazine at the time that becoming pregnant was ‘our biggest achievement ever’.
‘This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us.’
This weekend’s Strictly shows saw comedian Ellie Taylor and her partner Joannes Radebe as the ninth couple eliminated after their Jive to Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison earned them 25 points and saw them at the bottom of the leaderboard.
They competed against Fleur East and Vito Coppla in their third dance-off, despite scoring a solid 35 for their sultry Rumba, which saw fans seething over watching her fight for her place in the competition yet again.
Last month, James revealed that he, Ola and Ella were currently ‘homeless’ as they sought a rental property for six months in between moves.

During the process, he slammed a ‘rude’ landlord they met who he claimed ‘spoke down to us from the minute I shook his hand’.
James went on to say: ‘Currently homeless. Anyone want to take Ola, Ella and myself for Christmas?’
