Jennifer Aniston demonstrated she was still close to former co-star Courteney Cox by kissing her on the cheek on the actress’s 59th birthday.
The two A-listers rose to popularity together on the set of Friends and have stayed friends even after the programme ended in 2004.
Jennifer, 54, celebrated Courteney’s final year of her fifties with a beautiful Instagram tribute picture on Thursday.
The Murder Mystery star uploaded a vintage photo of herself and her companion, with the two locking lips for a fun smooch, and fans couldn’t get enough.
Along with the pucking shot, she sent a compilation of recordings from the cult classic TV programme as well as some other old memories from their friendship.
Jennifer finished the carousel with a lovely photo of the two as they are now, fresh-faced and as joyful as they have always been.
She lovingly captioned the sweet celebratory post with a message to her dear companion that read: ‘I’d like to take a moment and wish my dearest CC the happiest of birthdays.
‘If you’ve been lucky enough to know her, you know how incredible she is. The biggest heart and most generous of humans. I love you, Cox-N-Hammer! Happy Birthday [sic].’
Fans flocked to the comments section to express their respect for the two actresses and to wish Courteney a happy birthday personally.
One made a Friends reference and wrote: ‘the true definition of “i’ll be there for you” my favorite duo! happiest of birthdays court [sic].’
Another said: ‘Monica and Rachel being best friends irl makes me just so happy [sic].’
‘Yayy the most beautiful friendship of all generations! It’s beautiful to see the existing connection here [sic],’ was a social media user’s reaction to the gallery of images.
Jennifer’s homage came only one day after Courteney celebrated the 19th birthday of Coco, her daughter with David Arquette.
The actress posted a selfie with her child as she is today, as well as a nice throwback photo of the famous daughter when she was a small girl.
She also left a caption nodding to the occasion that read: ‘Happy Birthday Cocolicious! I love you and your sweet, caring, sensitive, spicy, original, salty, witty, beautiful heart [sic].’
