Jodie Marsh has blasted the vile ‘troll’ who attacked her with animal mistreatment charges after the RSPCA and business standards visited her farm.
The former model, 44, was approached by Fripps Farm officials on Thursday when images of her visiting the bar with her meerkat surfaced.
Animal Health And Welfare sought to inspect Jodie’s animals after receiving two different welfare complaints, but were unable to do so.
Jodie has now alleged that one individual in particular has a vendetta against her and that their campaign is negatively impacting her mental health.
‘Everyone is incredibly supportive, but I have a troll who is trying to make trouble,’ Jodie added of the recent raid.
‘This campaign against me is taking its toll.’
She added to The Sun: ‘I have been forced to pull out of a vegan festival in Oxford this summer because of threats.’
Jodie stated that she took Mabel, a meerkat who requires feeding every hour, to the bar because she would ‘cry’ if she was left home.
The ex-Celebrity Big Brother housemate stated that no one objected about the Meerkat’s presence in the pub.
‘Meerkats cannot be left alone and do not do well alone, so in the first few weeks that I had her, I took her everywhere with me,’ she shared in an email posted to Instagram.
Jodie added that Mabel slept on her lap during their trip to the pub and stated that she was ‘never distressed’ there.
‘I used to wake her up to feed her and then she would snuggle up on my lap again. It is not illegal to take a meerkat in a pub and I did my best by her.’
Fripps Farm now has over 250 animals, many of which were spared from slaughter.
According to the shelter’s official website, Jodie assisted in bringing sick or injured animals “back from the brink of death.”
