Kate Lawler, the former Big Brother winner, was teased for her weight in vacation photos, but her husband Martin Bojtos defended her.
When people chose to vent negative thoughts about her body, the 43-year-old innocently uploaded images of her family’s trip overseas.
Kate rose to prominence on Big Brother 3 alongside This Morning’s Alison Hammond and the late Jade Goody.
The radio personality was on vacation in Europe, posting cheery pictures of her family, when she was chastised.
Husband of one year Martin, came to his wife’s defence and said: ‘I love that people are concerned about my wife’s weight when I cook for her.’
He added: ‘Guys, chill – it’s the camera angle. Put the phone down and go outside for a bit.’
Kate had been reminiscing about her holiday in the post, saying: ‘And just like that… I’ve gone from sunglasses, sun hats, dressing like the fire extinguisher next to me, white linen shirts and summer crop tops… To my fave silk pyjamas doing all the washing.
‘Summer holidays, over and out! 😂☀️’
She provided a hilarious photo dump of her vacation and daily life, along with a sunkissed selfie or two.
Kaz, Kate’s twin sister, also responded to trolls in the comments, writing, ‘Can’t believe the comments I am reading.. My twin sis has always been slim..
‘We both have so much energy and that’s how she’s always been.. plus a mother to a toddler we all know you don’t stop!!
‘Trust me Kate eats loads and yes it’s healthy but I’ve seen her have her treat days and eat what the hell she wants too! Just please be bloody nice! Or unfollow ffs😡😢 BE KIND.’
her isn’t the first abuse the radio DJ has gotten while on her vacation; when her kid threw a tantrum, she received a barrage of mum-shaming.
Her daughter Noa had a minor temper tantrum, which Kate documented on Instagram, only to be informed she was a horrible parent.
‘Firstly please don’t tell me what I can and can’t post on my own Instagram account,’ the This Morning star wrote.
A ‘handful of Karens’ had apparently taken it upon themselves to lecture the mother on her parenting methods.
Kate previously said that after having Noa, she suffered from severe post-partum depression and last year from an unknown disease.
She continued: ‘I wouldn’t ever dream of telling even a family member what they should or shouldn’t post.
‘Secondly, the reel I posted was not for “entertainment”, It’s hugely important for me to also share the reality of holidaying with two dogs and a toddler as so many of you asked for advice, tips & recommendations about European road trips.
‘If all I shared were sweet and smiley family photos it would be completely disingenuous and not representative of this trip at all.’
The lengthy post justified her decision to publish the tape, and she added that she believes Noa would find it ‘hilarious’ when she grows older.
‘Favourite comment was ‘how would you like it if someone shared videos of you crying for entertainment?’ LOL I did Big Brother. Videos of me crying were on national television every night for nine weeks,’ she added defiantly.
