Katherine Ryan has sex twice a month, exactly.
The 40-year-old comic has spoken up about her sex life, and she’s totally owning it.
Bobby Kootstra and Katherine have been dating since 2018, but they were childhood sweethearts when living in Canada.
Now, The Duchess star has revealed their sexual regimen.
When asked if she’s a minx in her marriage, Katherine said emphatically, ‘No.’
‘But I should be,’ she continued to The Times. ‘We have sex exactly twice a month. I log it just in case I do get pregnant.’
The stand-up comedian has three children: Violet, 14, who she shares with her ex-husband, Fred, two, and one-year-old Fenna Grace, whom she welcomed with Bobby.
Katherine also said that she ‘love[s] having kids’ while discussing motherhood, which has long captivated her.
She also enjoys being pregnant and giving birth. ‘I like it all,’ she said. ‘I gave birth to Fenna in Violet’s bedroom.’
On a serious note, the comic once again addressed sexual predators in the comedy profession.
In a 2022 BBC interview, Katherine famously informed Louis Theroux that there was a well-known male sexual predator in the comedy field, sparking much curiosity about who this may be.
‘We’ve seen what happens to the people who talk about alleged predators,’ she told Louis at the time, saying it was legally ‘dangerous’ for her to speak about it.
Katherine said: ‘No one has perpetrated any sexual assault against me, but this person, I believe very strongly – many people believe very strongly – is an open secret, is a perpetrator of sexual assault.
‘I, in front of loads of people, in the format of the show said to this person’s face that they are a predator.’
A collaborative investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches accused Russell Brand of sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse over seven years, which he denies.
On the investigation’s September 2023 publication, many individuals referred back to Katherine’s words, pointing out that if her suspicions of a’male predator’ were true, Brand was a ‘open secret’ in the comedy community.
When questioned by the outlet if she had been subjected to predatory conduct in the comedy industry, Katherine responded firmly.
‘You mean, was I ever assaulted? No. People were always very scared of me,’ she said.
Looking back on her shocking confession to Louis, Katherine believes she didn’t do it for a pat on the back.
When asked if she’s glad now that she done it, Katherine said, “No,” explaining that she didn’t make the reveal to be vindicated.
Since the publication of the investigation into Brand, which detailed the alleged accounts of four women, others have come forward with further claims.
Brand has categorically refuted all allegations, referring to any sexual interactions as ‘consensual’.
In light of the probe, Brand lost money from his ‘wellness’ YouTube channel, which has over 6.7 million members.
