Katie Price has revealed what occurred when she fractured both of her feet while on vacation in Turkey.
The singer, 41, was in a wheelchair for weeks after suffering life-changing injuries in an accident while vacationing with her children in 2020.
Katie previously told how she leaped over a wall without noticing there was a massive drop on the other side – but the horse-crazy mother has now disclosed it happened when she was, uh, pretending to be a horse.
Mum-of-five Katie said doctors warned her she’d ‘never walk again’ because her injuries were among the worst they’d ever seen.
Speaking to Kathy Burke on podcast Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake, Katie described some of her near-death experiences, and said she had ‘no idea’ how she survived the fall, and ‘neither do the doctors.’
Describing the mishap which saw her need a wheelchair for weeks on end, she recalled: ‘I was pretending to be a horse. I jumped over the bush, it was dark, I didn’t know there was a 20-foot drop into an underground car park.’
After fracturing her bones in the 20-foot drop, which would be little over six metres, she reported her feet were now covered in scars and screws.
Kate’s close encounter is far from her only one, as she pondered on some of her vehicle accidents, having been in numerous, and revealed she had always assumed she would die in a crash.
‘I always predicted I’d die in a car crash. I’ve always said that. And the amount of near-death experiences and car crashes I’ve had, I’ve always come out without a scratch on me,’ she said.
Referring to the incident where she rolled her BMW in the early hours of the morning after drinking alcohol and taking drugs, which she admitted to a police officer at the scene, she said: ‘When I rolled the car a couple of years ago, a naughty night I had, I don’t know how I wasn’t scratched.’
And she had been in the car when her lover slammed into two horses that had escaped and ran into the road a decade before.
‘The airbags didn’t go off, nothing happened to me. I’ve had a lot of car accidents… I’m still here,’ she said.
Kathy joked Katie’s ‘bosoms’ might have saved her, with Katie agreeing ‘they’re good airbags.’
‘And they’re big ones at the minute, they’ve been done again,’ she said proudly after undergoing what is believed to be her 16th boob job earlier this year.
‘I go over the top, of course.’
The podcast features celebrities discussing death and how they would like to be sent out in their final farewell, with Katie previously saying she wanted to be buried with an oxygen tank in case she awoke.
She also stated that she hasn’t updated her will since her divorce from ex-husband Peter Andre, and that if she died, ‘all belongs to Pete, Princess, Junior, and Harvey.’
Katie stated that she would have to adjust it since she “can’t have anyone else get more stuff from me.”
