Katie Price has stated that she is ready to buckle down and study her lines after her most recent Christmas pantomime performance was panned.
The 45-year-old mother of five and former glamour model recently appeared on stage in Liverpool for a rendition of Snow White, in which she played the evil fairy Carabosse (also known as Maleficent).
That performance, however, did not go over well with the audience, and tickets were lowered to get butts on seats amid complaints about the I’m A Celeb star forgetting her lines on occasion.
On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she admitted to ‘ballsing up’ her role in the production, but promised to better for the “people who paid for tickets.”
And it looks like she’ll have her opportunity soon after being cast in a filthy, euphemism-filled adult 18+ performance of Dick Whittington and His Cat in North Shields, near Newcastle.
The play, Big Dick Whittington and His Pussy, runs from January 25 to January 28, and Katie has detailed her preparation for the part of Queen Rat from the famous English folklore tale on Instagram.
Drag Race UK star Michael Marouli and northeast drag singer Ophelia Balls join her in the cast; the show is directed by David Ducasse, who represented the UK at Eurovision in 2007 as a member of Scooch.
Speaking about her unfortunate display in Snow White, she admitted: ‘For the past six days I’ve had to learn a full script, dance songs for panto that I don’t know or I’ve never even heard of.’
‘On top of that my nerves. The stress I’ve put on myself this week is ridiculous. I have ballsed my lines up and had to make some stuff up, so hopefully nobody noticed it.’
Because she is fatigued, the reality star’s mind goes blank before coming on stage.
‘I need reassuring – this is new to me,’ Katie continued. ‘I’m alright going on telly, podcasting, talking about myself, but when you’ve got to learn a script and you’ve got people who have paid for tickets you’ve got to be good.’
Katie’s stint on the stage coincides with her split from Carl Woods, whom she declared’single’ earlier this month while wishing her fans a happy new year.
Her now ex-fiancé decided to publish a fairly scathing Insta Story in an apparent jab at her after she revealed their breakup.
The 34-year-old reshared an image of a 4×4 car smashing into a tree with the caption: ‘Narcissists be like, it’s the tree’s fault!!!!!’
Yikes.
Bunny, her 9-year-old daughter, verified the news when a Katie Price admirer inquired whether she was single again.
