Katie Price is alleged to be thinking of having a “behind bars [wedding] ceremony” after claiming she would rather go to jail than attend her bankruptcy court next month.
The 45-year-old former beauty model has been summoned to court to face £3.2 million in debts and has previously questioned her court appearances, questioning why she wasn’t sent to prison instead.
Despite her family’s concerns that the mother-of-five is oblivious to the seriousness of the situation, the actress is apparently focused on the potential of a jail wedding.
Katie is claimed to be intending to marry her on-again, off-again boyfriend Carl Woods in a ‘behind bars’ ceremony if she is put up after her hearing.
A source explained to OK magazine: ‘She believes Carl will wait for her on the outside. She thinks people will buy into their “forbidden” behind bars love story.’
They went on to say that Katie would contemplate a “behind bars ceremony” to keep the public engaged in their love affair while she served her term.

‘If that’s not an option then there’s even talk about her and Carl getting married before she’s jailed, so people will root for her more. It’s all about headlines for Katie,’ the insider went on to suggest.
Katie’s family raised their fears throughout her legal issues, with another insider telling the newspaper that her mother feared she was underestimating the impact prison may have on her.
The source said: ‘Katie isn’t comprehending the severity of what’s coming – or how long she could actually be jailed for.
‘Her mum, Amy, has warned her that she should be eating humble pie to avoid jail, not serving it.

‘She’s also warned Katie about the danger of a massive public backlash if she treats jail like a game, but she isn’t getting through to her. Katie thinks people will be behind her.
‘Katie’s adamant that a stint in prison will relaunch her career. She believes it’ll be her route to book deals, behind bars-style documentaries, television interviews.’
Her loved ones’ fears came after the star announced on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breaker podcast last week that she was no longer ‘scared of court’.
She told listeners of the show: ‘I’ve been to court more times than I’ve had hot dinners lately. I’m not scared of court any more.’
