Khloe Kardashian has come up after being chastised for dressing up and blackfishing for Halloween.
Khloe Kardashian, 39, dressed up as a Bratz doll with Kim Kardashian and pals, wearing a yellow minidress with a matching cap and a white sweater to complete the preppy appearance.
Her skin tone was substantially deeper, and her lips were expanded, making it impossible to distinguish her at first.
Many accused Khloe of blackfishing, which refers to a white or non-Black person changing their look to have darker skin, and others even likened her to former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, who has previously been accused of blackfishing.
Khloe attempted to respond to the controversy in her recent Instagram stories by providing a behind-the-scenes video of her removing her prosthetic lips and revealing the lengths she took to turn into a Bratz doll.
‘Not only did we have silicone prosthetic lips on, we also blocked our brows,’ she wrote in the caption.
The mum-of-two continued: ‘We concealed our natural brows and we painted on fake eyebrows much higher than where [our] real eyebrows would be.
‘This gives our eyes the effect that they are much larger than they are. So we would look more like a doll.’
Khloe had trended on social media, with many people taken aback by her abrupt shift in look.
One commented on X aka Twitter: ‘You’re telling me this isn’t Jesy Nelson but Khloe Kardashian?’
Also in disbelief, another said: ‘I didn’t believe this was khloe kardashan till I went on her page omg.’
‘Khloe with a new face and blackfishing,’ one stated while another added: ‘I knew people would say Khloe blackfishing tbh I couldn’t even recognize her.’
‘No one’s gonna talk about her skin being 10 times darker lol,’ one laughed as another commentator joined in: ‘Khloe Kardashian dressed up as Jesy Nelson for Halloween!!’
One other wrote: ‘Girl I thought this was a random black woman.’ Another critic questioned ‘where did this melanin come from?’
Khloe has been accused of blackfishing in the past and regularly ridiculed for her changed image, which has included a nose operation and other cosmetic surgeries.
In 2021, she giggled at a comment that she constantly ‘looked so different’ in her images, responding: ‘From my weekly face transplant clearly.’
During a recent episode of The Kardashians, Khloe stated that she acquired anxieties about her nose when she overheard her mom Kris Jenner stating she needed plastic surgery when she was just nine years old.
‘I’ve been torn apart the minute that I’ve gone on TV. I didn’t look like my sisters so therefore it’s not good enough,’ she explained in the July 2023 episode.

‘When I started changing my look, you get better make-up, you do fillers, you do whatever. I had a nose job. And there’s still people constantly bullying you.
‘So which one is it? You didn’t like me then, you don’t like me… You have to do things for yourself.
‘We’re still growing up in front of the camera, regardless of how old we are, we’re still growing and evolving. It’s just unfair to have so much pressure put on people. We’re all just trying to do the best we can.’
This year, Khloe dressed up her children True, five, and Tatum, one, with her daughter dressing up as a princess and her youngest dressing up as Don Corleone from The Godfather, a lumberjack, and even The Rock, or Dwayne Johnson.
