Kim Kardashian left fans perplexed when she disclosed her new food passion, which was not so new to, well, everyone else.
The 42-year-old reality actress shared a photo of her new eating habits, amusing viewers with a disclosure that was completely out of step with the typical trendsetter.
The A-lister declared to fans her ‘new snack passion’ was none other than the basic ‘hummus and veggies’ after sharing a photo of some sliced up carrot and celery sticks.
The Skims creator shared the photo on her Instagram story on Monday, showing off her poolside selections of chickpea-adorned hummus and thinly cut crudités.
Fans reacted quickly to The Kardashian star’s announcement, expressing their surprise at her late discovery on Twitter.
One user shared the original post with a message that read: ‘this is soooooooooooo funny [sic].’

Others began commenting on the food choice and mocking the celebrity for admitting that it was a “new” discovery.
‘Putting carrots on ice like they’re oysters I’m crying [sic],’ an account left underneath the snap while another said: ‘…how is she Armenian but just found out about veggies and hummus? [sic]’.
A separate individual hilarious jibbed: ‘Just wait till she discovers avocado toast [sic]’, and was followed by a fan writing: ‘I knew I was an influencer! I have veggies and hummus every day for lunch, where’s my check? [sic].’

Kim has previously spoken openly about her eating habits, telling BBC Radio 1 in 2014 that her guilty pleasure while in London was a stack of spareribs.
Her palette has apparently developed since then to taste mostly plant-based meals, with snacks like Doritos tossed in to keep things interesting.
According to People, the star once revealed in a Twitter Q&A: ‘I love Cheetos. OMG Cheetos Puffs too and Doritos sometimes. I hate spicy anything.
‘I know this is going to be very unpopular to so many but I just don’t like it. Regular Cheetos for me or Cheetos Puffs are my absolute fave’.
She is also known to have shared love for a certain Australian chocolate bar, telling Cosmopolitan Australia: ‘I’m obsessed with Tim Tams. The first day I got here I ate a whole box’.
