On Thursday, Lily Allen and her husband David Harbour celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary.
The singer, 38, celebrated the occasion by uploading a snapshot of herself and David, 48, on their wedding day on Instagram.
Of course, it didn’t take long for some cringe-worthy comments to emerge, with one person asking Lily, a mother of two, “Would you have married a guy with no money?”
Never one to bite her tongue, Lily fired bluntly back with what might just be the best social media response of all time, saying: ‘Sure, I did in 2011, sadly it didn’t work out though.’
Lily was most likely referring to her ex-husband Sam Cooper, whom she married the next year.
In 2009, she began dating builder and decorator Sam, and they married in 2010.
They have two children together, daughters Ethel in 2011 and Marnie in 2013.
However, Lily announced in 2018 that she and Sam had split and were sharing custody of their children.
Meanwhile, after a year of dating, Lily and Stranger Things actor David secretly married on September 7, 2020, at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
The actress disclosed earlier this year that she met David on the members-only dating app Raya.
In an interview with The Jonathan Ross Show in March, Lily recalled using the dating app Raya and coming across David’s profile.
‘I didn’t know who he was,’ she admitted.
‘I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show. He was wearing a policeman’s uniform.’
She later learned it ‘was a still from Stranger Things’ – which would have fans of the show hyperventilating, but Lily had ‘never seen Stranger Things’.
Lily said she didn’t know exactly what she was looking for when she joined Raya, but ‘swiping [was] a bit of fun’.
And, she admitted, she didn’t think it was ‘going to go anywhere’ when she first started dating the actor as he was only in the area for a short while filming Black Widow.
‘And then it did go somewhere,’ she added.
It sure did.
