Davide Sanclimenti has reported that his Los Angeles home was burgled, and he lost goods worth more than $1 million.
The TV personality, who appeared on the ITV reality dating show Love Island in 2022, disclosed to his 1.5 million Instagram followers that he had been robbed.
The 29-year-old uploaded photos of his empty walk-in closet with a statement revealing that the crime occurred within minutes and took stuff worth up to £933,222.00.
‘I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has displayed their concern and DMing me and asking why I have been quiet over socials.
‘As you all know I’m living in LA atm. Our home got broken into and was robbed of nearly $1.22M worth of precious and personal belongings gone within six minutes.’
‘Just goes to show the saying is true, “the evil always target the pure hearted” but I’m trying to stay positive that the good people will always win in the end!’
The star then revealed that he would be moving following this ordeal, and suggested that he would continue to take a break from social media to ‘reset’.
‘I’m taking [a] few days to reset, change house and keep moving forward,’ he said on his Instagram story.
Before migrating to the United States, the celebrity lived in London and Manchester, England, but is originally from Italy.
Davide won Love Island in 2022 with his girlfriend at the time, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
After winning the dating show, the pair moved in together and became successful enough to have their own reality TV show, Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings, on ITV2.
The pair announced their breakup in June 2023, but were back together by September of the same year.
The pair announced their split in January 2024. In their breakup announcements, Ekin-Su wrote, ‘Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways.’
Davide contended that it was mutual, and that his ex had revised their agreed-upon statement announcing their breakup.
‘Ekin and I, just after the ski holidays, decided to go different ways. It was a joint decision, but I was waiting to make it public to respect her time in the show.
‘I don’t know why she agreed the statement changed last minute,’ he said.
