Madonna celebrated her 65th birthday with a compilation of video and photos from the big day, complemented with her legendary Vogue cover.
This comes only weeks after she was taken to the hospital for a health scare.
Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary informed supporters that she had suffered a major bacterial illness that had landed her in intensive care for many days.
She was discovered unconscious and was brought to the hospital for treatment, leaving her family expecting “the worst.”
She has recently returned to social media and updated followers on her tour, and she is now back in her dancing shoes.
In the birthday post, she wrote: ‘It’s great to be Alive………….. and Amazing to Be able to put on my dancing shoes and Celebrate my Birthday! 🎉🎉🎉
‘I’m So Grateful. Thank you Lisbon and to all who made it possible!’
Her dancing with friends, riding a horse on the beach, loved ones cheering her on, and a version of Elton John’s Your Song were all seen in the clips.
‘I’m gonna wreck the place with my jewels,’ Madonna opened the clip telling the camera, as she showed off her outfit.
‘Be in my background, live in my background, stay in my background,’ she added.
The music legend recently reflected on her hospitalisation and stated that she was “fortunate to be alive.”
She described love from family and friends as her “greatest medication,” and thanked all the “angels” who “protected [her] and allowed [her] to stay to finish [her] job.”
She penned: ‘Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect.
‘As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving……….. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference.’
She continued: ‘So did the love and support from my friends. If you zoom into this Picture I am holding You will see A Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it. A perfect triangle of Brilliance.Artist who touched so many lives including my own.
‘I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone.Thank you [manager] @guyoseary for this gift!’
‘And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work! ♥️’
