Madonna was a pleased mother as she praised her son Rocco Ritchie’s art display following his unveiling as painter Rhed.
The Material Girl, 65, whose Celebration tour begins in London on Saturday, called her son’s collection at London’s Frieze’remarkable.’
The Like A Virgin hitmaker, who has Rocco, 23, with filmmaker Guy Ritchie, was accompanied by her daughter Lourdes Leon, as well as friend Stella McCartney.
When Rocco was unmasked as the mysterious expressionist painter Rhed, whose work fetches up to five figures, his hidden existence as an artist was revealed.
Rhed – or Rocco – has had his work shown elsewhere in London in recent years, notably at Tanya Baxter Contemporary, a Chelsea art gallery.
Rocco has clearly inherited his parents’ penchant for inventiveness as well as design, as he wore an eye-catching 70s outfit right out of his father’s film Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels earlier this year at Paris design Week.
The artist stood in a vinyl black mac, black pants and highly polished stiletto boots during the Saint Laurent Womenswear Fall Winter 2023-2024 presentation.
He complemented his vintage look with a white shirt with a popped collar and a pair of huge orange-tinted sunglasses.

Rocco was apparently introduced to Madonna’s boxer boyfriend Joshua, 29, at her birthday celebrations in Lisbon.
Following multiple photos of them together, rumours started that the pop icon was dating Joshua early this year, however neither has formally acknowledged the romance.
Her new romance comes after she ended her five-month relationship with ex-lover Andrew Darnell, 23, at the end of February.
In addition to Rocco and Lourdes, Madonna is the mother of David, her third child, whom she adopted from Malawi when he was 13 months old in 2006.
She was still married to Guy at the time, but they divorced two years later after an eight-year marriage.
She also adopted Mercy James, who is now 17, and twins Estere and Stella, both 11, who she adopted when they were five years old in 2017.
