Denise Welch is meeting a slew of celebrities thanks to her son Matt Healy.
The 64-year-old Loose Women and Coronation Street actor looked overjoyed when she arrived at The 1975’s show on Thursday and hung out backstage with Taylor Swift, who made a surprise entrance on stage to the pleasure of the O2 Arena London crowd.
The Love Story singer stepped on stage with a knowing grin, performing her chart-topping smash Anti-Hero for the first time live, before covering The 1975’s song The City.
Matty, the band’s leader and Denise’s eldest son, has previously revealed that the band collaborated with Taylor on unreleased tunes for her tenth studio album Midnights, which is how they must have landed Taylor for the gig.
Mum seems to be having a good time, as Denise is seen cosied up to Taylor in what appears to be a loving embrace in one photo.
Florence Welch, celebrity frontwoman of Florence and the Machine, was also spotted lurking in the background of the photograph by 1975 fans.
But there’s more: the soap star also posed for a selfie with singer Charli XCX and appeared in a photo with Loose Woman co-star Frankie Bridge.
Denise also shared a proud moment with her two kids, 33-year-old Matty and 22-year-old actor Louis.
Captioning the pictures, Denise wrote: ‘Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin!!’ before tagging those involved.

Not long after, Denise gave Florence the spotlight she deserved by sharing a photo of the two together in a separate post.
The actress also shared a video from The 1975’s opening night of their UK tour, which took place a few days earlier in Brighton.
She wrote: ‘Don’t Cry For Me Brighton!!! My Eva Peron moment at @the1975 first night of the UK tour!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣’
Denise has two boys with Benidorm and On Wiedersehen, Pet actor Tim Healy.
The couple married in 1988 and divorced in 2012.
Denise opened out about their relationship on Loose Women in 2020, when she said: ‘My husband and I both agree we held on far too long and we were making each other miserable and thankfully we’ve now got a great friendship.
‘I genuinely used to think that being unfaithful wasn’t the worst thing you could do in a relationship. There were infidelities on both sides… which you girls know about.’
Matt, her son, is just getting started on his 12-date UK tour with bandmates Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel.
I wonder who Denise’s next encounter will be?
