Maya Jama used her spare time in South Africa while filming Love Island: All Stars to get a’spontaneous’ tattoo.
In a TikTok video, the 29-year-old admits to getting the new ink while drunk.
Despite still feeling the effects of the night before, the TV personality was upbeat when she and a buddy went to the Tomb Tattoo parlour in Cape Town.
Speaking in the video, which she also posted on her Instagram Story, Maya shared: ‘So we basically have decided to get a tattoo on a hangover, and I dunno know what I want until two seconds ago.’
After a short amount of deliberation, she made up her mind, settling on a lion – in keeping with the fact that her star sign is Leo.
‘I’ve decided to get a lion. And she is getting…’ Maya said, as her friend chimed in to reveal: ‘An elephant.’
Maya’s friend went first, standing on a platform and exposing an adorable elephant tattoo on the back of her leg, which she thought was really ‘sweet’.
Next, the Love Island presenter stepped up on the stage and had a high-spirited dance before going onto a tattoo table on all fours and lying on her front.
She beamed from ear to ear as the tattoo artist inked the lion design, then revealed the finished product at the conclusion of the film.
Commenting on TikTok, one person called Nat wrote: ‘Lion for Leo baby ❤️🔥.’
Another named Navey remarked: ‘No way! I’ve always wanted a lion tattoo but never knew where to put it! This is SO smart! Go you girl.’
Maya supporters were overjoyed last year when it was reported that she had rekindled her relationship with rapper Stormzy.
In December, the couple was sighted at Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park, where they were pictured holding hands while on a ride.
Maya is presently in South Africa shooting Love Island: All Stars, in which previous islanders Liberty Poole, Kaz Kamwi, Georgia Steel, and Anton Danyluk attempt to find love in the villa for the second time.
