Miley Cyrus has been revealing glimpses of her history, including her hectic schedule as a child star, in celebration of her new single Used to Be Young.
Miley, who served as maid of honour at her mother’s recent wedding, has been delving into her background in a video series tied to her song.
The lyrics highlight the trials and difficulties she faced as the star of Hannah Montana, as well as her subsequent life in the spotlight.
Miley’s famous programme lasted from 2006 to 2011, while she was still a teenager, and she previously admitted that the rigours of child fame drove her to therapy.
She sobbed as she discussed her troubled connection with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, following his divorce from her mother, Tish.
Miley reflected back on the tight schedule she had to follow 17 years ago due to her journal in the latest clip from her Used to Be Young series.
She stated she was ’12 or 13 years old’ when she wrote this journal excerpt, which recounted her whole day, beginning at 5.30 a.m.
Miley said: ‘5.30am hair and makeup in my hotel, 7am we get picked up. 7.15 I’m on the news, 7.45 I have another live interview, 8.15 another interview, 8.45 another interview, 9.30 to 11am meeting with editors.
‘Back to the hotel, okay, I have to do an interview but the reporters are all fifth-grade students. 1 to 2.30, me and my dad have a lunch interview.’
She breezed through mentions of on-and-off-screen dad Billy in this TikTok despite spending the whole of the day by his side.
Miley dashes off to a 20-minute photoshoot before jetting off to another interview and shoot for ‘the Father’s Day edition’ till 5pm.
Despite working 12 hours, the Wrecking Ball singer had two more interviews scheduled before ending out her day at 6.30 p.m.
Miley then unpacked her next day which ‘starts at 7am and ends at 7.30pm, when I fly home to probably go to Hannah’.
Her journey home would be on Saturday, and she’d be back on set of the hit programme by Monday.
Recognising the schedule was stuffed to the brim, even by an adult’s standards, Miley joked: ‘I’m a lot of things, but lazy ain’t one of them.’
‘I do think this girl deserves a little endless summer vacation,’ the star added.
