Molly-Mae Hague confessed that after giving birth to her first kid earlier this year, she was battling with her body image.
During a recent vlog upload while away at her manager’s wedding in Barbados, the former Love Island star, 24, spoke up about wearing a bikini on vacation.
Since welcoming Bambi with her boxer boyfriend and fellow reality star Tommy Fury, 24, in January, the YouTuber has kept her followers updated on her transition to motherhood.
In her most recent video diary post, she discussed body confidence and indicated that she was still working on getting back to her pre-baby perspective about wearing a two-piece around the pool.
The celebrity, who was lying on a deck chair in the sunny exotic locale, said that she would be wearing one-piece bathing suits for the remainder of the vacation since she wasn’t ready to display her stomach just yet.
She reported from the comfort of her Barbadian sun-lounger and said: ‘I’ve got this swimming costume on… for me at the minute swimsuits are the one. I’m not a bikini girl at the minute because I just don’t have the confidence.
‘I didn’t really have the confidence for bikinis before I had a baby.’
The much-loved influencer continued sharing: ‘Right now with my body, I need anything that is going to give me confidence… Because I genuinely feel like with time, my confidence with my body is actually getting worse. It’s irritating me.
‘I really felt on this trip that I am going to embrace it, I don’t care, my new mum body, I’m proud of it, and I am but at the same time I’m finding it hard to accept that I’ve got a real journey to start if I want to feel more confident in my body.
‘I was speaking about it to my family. I just don’t ever picture myself putting on a bikini ever again, I never did [feel confident] in the first place. There’s just no way.
‘Before I had a baby I didn’t feel confident in a bikini, so after having a baby I don’t picture myself ever thinking, “I’ll slip a bikini on and feel amazing”.
‘I want to and I want to come on here and say “I feel confident and amazing” but that’s not how I’m feeling at the minute.’
Molly-Mae and her fiancé Tommy travelled to Barbados with Bambi to celebrate the star’s manager Fran walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid.
