Tommy Fury has commended girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague for taking on the most of parenting duties with their daughter Bambi as he has been training for his upcoming bout against Jake Paul.
After years of delays, the former Love Island star will face his old boxing adversary in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
Tommy, 23, has been separated from his family after Molly-Mae, also 23, gave birth to their first child, daughter Bambi, in January.
Molly-Mae is remaining in the UK and cheering on her boyfriend from afar, despite the fact that Bambi is just four weeks old.
Tommy has been at a tight training camp for the past few weeks, so Molly-Mae has been handling the majority of the infant tasks.
‘She hasn’t bothered me once with anything,’ Tommy said in a new interview.
He continued to BBC News: ‘She’s been absolutely amazing, she’s got through everything by herself and I think we all need to stand up and give her a lot of credit for that because she’s a young girl, and she has been doing it mostly by herself at this stage because I’ve been in training camp.
‘It’s such a serious fight that you can’t break training camp and these are the sort of sacrifices that I’ve made in the lead up to this. I’ve sacrificed being there and… it is what it is. What can you do?
‘It’s a massive fight, but I’ll make up for that time when I’m home,’ he added.
Tommy and Molly, who met on Love Island in 2019, had their first child, a daughter, on January 23.
Last week, the PrettyLittleThing creative director bid the boxer farewell as he headed out to the UAE for the fight.
‘And he’s off to go and get that win. We will miss you dadda… So beyond proud of you,’ she said on Instagram beside a photo of herself kissing Tommy while carrying Bambi.
Molly-Mae has been drawn into Tommy and Jake’s pre-fight trash talk, with the YouTuber releasing news of Bambi’s birth days before the pair had the chance. He also made fun of Tommy on the couple’s formal baby announcement and recently claimed Molly-Mae was the family breadwinner.
