Congratulations are in order for Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh, who have had their third child together—but they have no clue what to name her.
The couple announced on Wednesday that they had welcomed a baby girl together, with images shot just’minutes’ after the child arrived.
Peter, who is now the father of five children, uploaded stunning photographs of Emily hugging their new baby in a hospital bed, writing, “We are so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family.
‘Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy.’
He went on, alongside a photo of him meeting his new daughter for the first time: ‘Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn’t be happier.’
There is one problem however, as he added: ‘Only thing is…. She has no name yet. Help!’
Loving messages have already been flooding in for the family on Instagram, including plenty of name suggestions for their little girl, including Amanda Holden who suggested Dylan and Robyn, claiming ‘boys names are great for girls.’
TV presenter Tonia Buxton congratulated the couple and jokingly suggested ‘Antonia is a lovely name’.
However despite the many helpful suggestions, so far the new arrival still appears to be without a name.
In his post, Peter went on to thank ‘all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily’s parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible.’
‘I’m so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading.’
The ‘overwhelmed’ musician later shared the same photo of Emily holding their daughter to his Instagram stories, along with the caption: ‘I love you both so much.’
And on top of the sweet photo of him clasping the newborn’s hand, he pointed out that it sort of looked like his minutes-old baby was flipping him the bird, joking ‘Are you seriously giving me the middle finger already?’
He added: ‘I love you unconditionally so it’s ok,’ proving he’s already wrapped around the new arrival’s little finger.
The 51-year-old Mysterious Girl singer and doctor Emily, 34, already have two children: Amelia, born in 2014, and Theo, born two years later.
Peter’s eldest children are Junior (18) and Princess (16), whom he shares with former glamour model Katie Price.
Celebrities, friends, and fans swarmed to Peter’s post to express their appreciation, with Christine McGuinness sending her ‘congratulations’ with a love-heart emoji and Safiyya Vorajee writing, ‘congratulations such a beautiful addition to a wholesome family.’
Katie Price‘s other ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, also extended his congrats to the new father.
On March 25, Peter disclosed in his OK magazine column that they believed Emily, who had just recently returned from maternity leave, was going into labour the week before, but it was actually Braxton Hicks.
‘Emily and I are on total tenterhooks now that the baby is due any day,’ he wrote.
‘We thought it was going to happen last week when she seemed to be having contractions. It ended up being Braxton Hicks and I kept making her laugh during it.
‘She, like many other mums, is a tough ol’ cookie and takes it all in her stride.’
He hoped him and Emily could have one final ‘date night’ before the baby arrived.
Peter announced they were expecting their third child together in October, when he took to Instagram with a snap of Emily holding up ultrasounds and wrote: ‘We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024 The kids are so excited. So are we.’
The post was flooded with well wishers, with Jess Wright writing: ‘Congratulations,’ while Lizzie Cundy added, ‘What !! Another ?? Wow !!! Huge congratulations darlings!!!!’
Ashley Roberts, Catherine Tyldesley, and Katie Price’s ex, Kieran Hayler, all expressed their congrats.
Earlier that year, Peter hinted that he would like to become a father for the fifth time, eight years after welcoming his youngest, Theo.
Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s The Secret To podcast in July, he said: ‘Children… I was like, when I get to 50 I’m done and then I find myself having conversations with [Emily] going, “Yeah you know, if we did have another child, where would we put Junior?”‘.
He added: ‘I can’t even believe we have those conversations and that makes me think that I just don’t know, it’s just one of those things. It’s just weird that we even have those conversations, so I don’t know.’
‘Listen, us guys can wishful think all we like, right, but it’s going to be up to her.’
Peter and Emily married on 11 July 2015 in Exeter at Mamhead House in a celebration which included Greek plate smashing, African drumming, fireworks, and a performance from Pete himself.
He told OK! magazine of the big day: ‘I wanted so much entertainment as I didn’t want any waiting around or lulls in the day. I wanted people to be surprised the whole time!’
