Ryan Reynolds was taken aback when he ran across his own brother on the street.
The 47-year-old Deadpool star is the youngest of three brothers: Jeff, Patrick, and Terry.
Ryan is the only one of his brothers who has pursued a career in acting, and as a world-renowned Hollywood celebrity, the international spotlight is significantly more centred on him, which means audiences seldom get to see the star’s family dynamic outside of his wife Blake Lively and famous pals.
Ryan’s brother Terry, on the other hand, made an unexpected cameo on Ryan’s Instagram this week after the siblings occurred to run into each other – absolutely unexpectedly – in New York City while both wearing the same hat.
The Wrexham owner turned to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his elder brother Terry, both dressed in Wrexham hats and glasses.
He wrote: ‘8.5 million people in NYC. Ran smack into my brother out of nowhere.

‘He was even wearing his Ryan Reynolds costume. WTF.’
Terry himself shared the snap and wrote: ‘I’m not sure what the odds are of running into your own brother while doing separate things in NY for the day.
‘8.5 million people and we practically collided.’
The incredibly random encounter proved popular with fans – although one quipped, ‘What are the odds of running into your brother and wearing the exact hat is the real question!’

Ryan and his siblings were born and raised in Canada, where much of the family – including Terry – still lives, making the reunion all the more bizarre.
The Detective Pikachu star began his acting career in Canada with the adolescent soap opera Hillside, and after originally abandoning the field to attend university in British Columbia, he relocated to Los Angeles, where his career took off.
He and his wife Blake currently live in New York with their four children, and the actor became a citizen of the United States in 2018.
Terry became an uncle three times over after meeting on the set of 2011’s Green Lantern and marrying in 2012. They received their first daughter, James, in 2014, followed by Inez in 2016 and Betty in 2019, making Terry an uncle three times over.
Blake gave birth to a fourth child this year, but they have not shared any specifics about their new addition.
