Ryan Thomas has sent an update to his followers about his one-year-old daughter, who was transported to the hospital.
The ex-Coronation Street actor, 39, has a daughter named Lilah with ex-Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh, 32. They also have a three-year-old son named Roman, and Ryan has a 10-year-old daughter named Scarlett with ex Tina O’Brien.
The celebrity couple revealed over the weekend that their youngest was ill.
The celebrity parents did not elaborate, but Lucy uploaded a photo of herself embracing Lilah in a hospital bed, stating she needed’mummy hugs’.
As a result, Lucy said she would be unable to attend a scheduled business retreat in Portugal because she needed to be by her daughter’s side.
Thankfully, Lilah is not only back home, but also on the mend.
Ryan caught the lovely moment she was reunited with her mother on his Instagram Story on Monday night (October 16), and it’s enough to soften even the hardest of hearts.
‘We’re gonna go and surprise mummy, aren’t we?’, he asked his little girl as she sat in the bag of the car after being discharged.
‘Are we gonna surprise mummy? We’re coming home! Are we coming home?’, he asked her.
Lilah was, predictably, less than enthusiastic after such an incident.
Ryan videotaped Lucy opening the door to discover Lilah on the step, trying to get inside, more than making up for her lack of excitement.
‘Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!’, she exclaimed with a smile.
The reality TV actress immediately grabbed up her daughter and embraced her fiercely before dragging their son in for a group hug.
‘You didn’t tell me! I was so worried!’, she laughed to Ryan, who hailed it the ‘best surprise ever’.
Reposting the sweet video to her own Instagram Story, Lucy added: ‘The best surprise, I thought she was in another night, so happy the hospital let her home.’
Lucy revealed that Lilah will have ‘home visits to check on her,’ but she is ‘overjoyed’ to have her back.
Lucy shot a video from the sofa while she watched her daughter sleep on the baby monitor a few hours later, after Lilah had gone to bed.
Earlier in the day, the influencer posted a video of Lilah bouncing around the hospital with her adoring father, informing viewers that she was “making a speedy recovery.”
‘Thanks for all the messages’, she penned.
