Whigfield, the Saturday Night hitmaker, is bringing a major blast from the past!
When she debuted her hit in 1993, the Danish pop diva and record producer – whose actual name is Sannie Charlotte Carlson – gave a song for party playlists for all eternity.
The next year, Saturday Night became international fame, and it has its own unique dance routine, which you’ll surely see partygoers bursting out in nightclubs when the song comes on.
Whigfield, now 53, has astonished fans with a stunning bikini image 30 years after her first chart breakthrough.
The singer, who was unrecognisable from her Saturday Night Live days, posed for pictures in a two-piece while on vacation in Italy.
Whigfield, who also goes by the stage names Naan and Sannie, showed off her toned body in the photos she posted to Instagram.
In one shot, she wore her blonde hair in bunches and made a peace sign near the pool while soaking up some sun.
Her 51,000 followers expressed their admiration for her attractiveness in the comments section.
‘Too beautiful for words 😍’, one person commented.
‘I fell in love’, declared another.
Another follower wrote: ’53 and spectacular 😍🔥’
Whigfield continued to record music throughout the 2010s and 2020s, including a stint under the alias “Sannie.”
She had hoped to represent Denmark in Eurovision in 2018, however she was not picked by her native country.
She does, however, continue to tour and has recently performed in Denmark.
It’s no surprise that Whigfield continues to astound people with her young appearance, as she spoke on the significance of living a healthy lifestyle in 2019.
She was questioned about the key to appearing youthful on the TV show Lorraine.
‘The secret is do everything different to what you did in the 90s. I sleep every night at 10, I eat healthy and I exercise every day,’ she said.
‘I’m not a naughty girl anymore.’
The singer has previously talked frankly about her inability to conceive a family.
Whigfield described a heartbreaking story from 2020 last year, when she sadly lost her newborn daughter three days after giving birth.
‘So, after that, I just didn’t feel like having children,’ she said at the time.
‘I’m 52 so having children is a bit hard. No, I wouldn’t adopt or have IVF – I just started having animals after that.’
Finn, an Italian music producer, is also the singer’s long-term lover.
