Selena Gomez has asked her fans to leave Hailey Bieber alone following allegations of their feud.
The 30-year-old rushed to Instagram to condemn individuals who have sent hate and ‘death threats’ to the model, who is married to Justin Bieber.
‘Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,’ she penned.
‘This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.
‘I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.’
Last October, the couple appeared for photographs together, ostensibly putting a stop to any speculation of bad blood.
However, rumours of a dispute resurfaced early this year after an apparent jab about eyebrows.
In case you missed it, Selena reclaimed her title as the most followed woman on Instagram, surpassing Kylie Jenner.
After being accused of ridiculing the Only Murders In The Building actress in a lighthearted selfie with Hailey, the Kardashians star was pulled into the issue.
After joking that she had overlaminated her brows, the 25-year-old uploaded a screenshot of a FaceTime chat between herself and a friend in which they had zoomed into their eyebrows, prompting many to link the two instances.
The beauty mogul quickly attempted to squash any suggestions of a feud, telling one follower: ‘This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts!
‘U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly [sic].’
The Lose You To Love Me singer then jumped in to share her support, writing: ‘Agreed @kyliejenner It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!’
Although that was put to rest, things became nasty again when Selena discovered an old TikTok video of Hailey appearing to shade her closest friend, Taylor Swift.
In the comments section, she defended the Love Story singer, saying, ‘So sorry, my closest buddy is and continues to be one of the greatest in the field.’
Social media users were quick to notice the statement and swamped the Rhode Beauty founder’s Instagram profile with harsh messages.
Selena then issued a brief statement over social media, noting that she had the “best fans” and “best people” surrounding her.
‘I’m very happy, I’m so blessed. I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world. I just couldn’t be happier,’ she declared. ‘I’m good. I love who I am, I don’t care, I’m good.
‘I’m going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. I’m 30, I’m too old for this.
‘But I love you guys so much and I will see you guys sooner than later. I’m just going to take a break from everything.’
