Selena Gomez appears to have ditched her brunette locks in favour of a new rainbow style but her fans are much more concerned about germs.
The 30-year-old star seems to have undergone a dramatic transformation and she revealed her fresh tresses in a TikTok video showing the singer hunched under a hand dryer in a public bathroom.
‘You gotta do what you gotta do,’ she joked in the caption as she could be seen styling her new tresses, while her friend could be heard laughing behind the camera.
While plenty of fans gushed over Selena’s ‘rainbow hair era’ with lots people comparing her to Enid from Netflix’s Addams Family spin-off Wednesday, there were also some followers more concerned about the hand dryver.
‘Hand dryers throw out a lot of germs, love the hair tho girl,’ replied one fan, while another added: ‘Wonder if she realizes all those things do is collect blow the fecal matter all over the place’.
Selena certainly seemed aware – and amused – as she responded: ‘Hahaha facts’.

However, Selena didn’t reveal exactly when the video was taken, and last weekend she still sported her brunette locks at Variety’s 2022 Hitmakers Brunch.
Meanwhile, earlier this week she was rocking her typical style during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – which might suggest the rainbow hair is simply a wig.
Either way, we’re here for it.
During her interview with Jimmy Fallon, she revealed her upcoming new music will be a departure from her other ‘sad girl songs’, noting she simply wants to ‘have some fun’.
‘I’m just so used to writing sad girl songs because I’m good at that, but I’m ready to have some fun. And I think people are going to like it,’ she said.
She also discussed her recent documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, which shares the Only Murders In the Building star’s journey with lupus, and her mental health battles.
Reflecting on the seven years she spent working on the powerful film, she said: ‘We kind of went through all the different phases of my life from getting diagnosed and doing all the things that I had to go through. Not going to lie, I can’t watch it.
‘To be honest, I was scared to release it, but knew that being honest and being completely transparent was what I wanted to be known for. I don’t want to be an unattainable thing. I want people to know that it’s not just you and that they’re not alone.’
And she later went to the White House and met President Biden and the First Lady to discuss the importance of mental health issues.
Noting it was ‘just a conversation’, she added: ‘I hope that there is more that is going to be happening. But it was really incredible to be there with a bunch of young people discussing mental health and the crisis that we are in.’
