Simon Cowell’s video has perplexed us. I’m very perplexed.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge has expressed his disappointment that one of his favourite items is no longer available, and it’s, umm, Listerine?
Simon, 63, demonstrated that desperate times necessitate desperate means when he publicly petitioned the business to reintroduce its original mouthwash.
The talent show founder used an empty bottle of Listerine in his bathroom to make his plea to his 2.2 million followers.
‘I’ve run out of Listerine,’ he began solemnly.
‘This is the original. You don’t sell it anymore in the UK, I don’t know why because it’s the best.
‘Could you please, please bring it back?’
‘I’m begging you,’ the told the brand.
Baffled? Same here.
But Simon didn’t stop there, turning caps lock on for a strong-worded caption.
He wrote: ‘@LISTERINE I’VE COMPLETELY RUN OUT, PLEASE BRING IT BACK TO THE UK !!!!!!!’
Naturally, people have questions after the music mogul’s bizarre post.
‘This was not on my 2023 bingo card’, one person tweeted.
‘need to become a celebrity so i can beg companies online to bring back discontinued products/go back to their original formula and know that there’s a chance they might listen’, another said.
‘New favourite video on the internet unlocked’, one added.
Meanwhile, Simon’s co-star Howie Mandel called the video the “greatest ad ever.”
However, there were several remarks concerning Simon’s look, as admirers wondered ‘what happened’ to his face after years of plastic surgery.
Last year, though, the actor said that he had stopped using Botox because it made him appear “like something out of a horror film.”
He has instead resorted to a nutritious diet to combat the natural consequences of ageing.
‘There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far,’ he confessed.
‘I saw a picture of me from “before” the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.
‘Eric was in hysterics. Enough was enough,’ Simon said.
Simon added to The Sun that there is now ‘no filler’ in his face ‘at all.’
‘Zero. There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other.
‘But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tonnes of water.’
