Jessie J has published yet another poignant parenting message, this time about leaving her youngster on a business trip.
The Price Tag singer, 35, welcomed her first child, Sky, with lover Chanan Safir Colman, 39, earlier this year after previously revealing that she had suffered a tragic miscarriage.
Jessie has revealed the highs and lows of motherhood since Sky’s birth, including an emotional video in which she held the child for the first time.
Jessie has now revealed her sadness at having to leave her darling kid for a work trip to Korea, which she is dreading.
The pop star posted a video of herself crying about the prospect of being separated from her child, adding, ‘Me every time I think about it.’
She posted a comparison picture of Sky looking chilled out and simply adorable in a pumpkin hat with the words: ‘Meanwhile Sky will be at home like…’
Jessie sought guidance and support from other parents who had experienced the same roller coaster of emotions while separated from their child.
‘I have had one night away from Sky since he was born,’ she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
‘I have to leave for work next week for Korea for 4 days and I am legit dreading leaving him.
‘Any advice or tips making it feel less S**T,’ she asked her 13.9 million followers.
She went on to refute assertions that she could just bring her son along for the trip, citing the lengthy flight duration.
‘And yes I know some of you will think just take him with you…But it’s too much flying and time difference for such a short trip.
‘I would have him in my pocket at all times if I could. Not literally. I don’t have a pocket big enough.’
She went on to say that she needs ‘support and reassurance’ through the trip, and that ‘Aries aren’t good at admitting that’ before writing she will take ‘deep breaths.’
Channan posted a heartfelt homage to their baby when he was a month old in June, accompanied with a photo of himself cuddling the infant.
‘Tomorrow my young king is 1 month old,’ he wrote. ‘And although my expectations were high you are everything and more.
‘Since you were born, work, food and sleep seem completely irrelevant. When you look deep into my soul while taking the biggest sh*t in my hands I smile, when you pee all over me while I change you I laugh, when you frantically kiss/suck on the side of my face, shoulder or neck looking for your mothers breast my heart smiles, and when you fall asleep on me with your arms wrapped around me I feel complete,’ the professional athlete shared.
‘Ben Shelli I already love doing life with you. Your greatness has absolutely NO limitations, and until the end off [sic] my days I’ll always protect you, teach you right from wrong, guide you when needed/asked, help you with your homework and find you some one that can teach you how to spell 😆, support you in ups, downs and all of the in between and of course love you unconditionally.’
He signed off by writing, ‘Love you long time your Aba,’ with ‘aba’ meaning dad in Hebrew.
Seeing Chanan’s heartfelt tribute to Sky, besotted mum Jessie reshared it to her Instagram stories, adding: ‘If you want to know why I fell in love with this man. Read the caption. My two 👑👑 @chanancolman’
