Sophia Grace Brownlee has unveiled her newborn son to the world, melting everyone’s hearts.
The child actress, who is now 19 years old, revealed her pregnancy with her partner, who chooses to remain private, in October of last year.
Sophia, who rose to popularity alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland, who is now 16 years old, on The Ellen Show, announced on March 6 that she had given birth to a son on February 26.
The new mother has now returned to the Internet to update her followers, revealing her newborn for the first time, but has not yet revealed his name.
Sophia does not feel comfortable exposing the newborn’s face at this time, but she did hold him up for the camera in her most recent YouTube video, and he is as adorable and little as you’d expect.
In addition, he already has an outstanding head of hair!
She went on to describe her delivery, beginning with the day she went into labour and ending with her return home with the infant.
Sophia revealed that she went into labour the same evening she completed shooting her previous vlog, after spending the day with her father as usual.
Due to the agony of her contractions, she went to the hospital that evening and decided immediately that she needed an epidural, proclaiming it “the finest thing I’ve ever done.”
She added that the process was ‘so scary’, convinced that she ‘couldn’t do it’ while it was happening, praising the midwives for their support.
As anticipated, Sophia characterised childbirth as “the most excruciating agony I’ve ever experienced.”
‘It’s literally disgusting, it’s literally the worst pain ever,’ she shared.
Her son was born’very rapidly’, but she was ‘very exhausted’ and began to feel ill throughout labour, so she was sent to the operating room for assistance with forceps and a possible C-section.
At this point, the situation was ‘very distressing,’ with Sophia stating, ‘I did have a really difficult time. In retrospect, that was likely the most distressing event that has ever occurred to me.
‘I was terrified, obviously because it’s a big thing. I’ve never had surgery that major before and it was scary. And I wasn’t planning on having a C-section.
‘My boyfriend came in with me because he was my birth partner, so he did get to sit next to me the whole time, which made me feel a lot better.’
Eventually, the celebrity underwent a C-section, and shortly thereafter, she heard her child scream for the first time.
‘And then I cried,’ she recalled. ‘Because I couldn’t believe that I had my own baby. It was just so surreal.
‘It was so weird. I finally got to see what he looked like after nine months of him being in my belly. It was the best thing ever.’
She was unable to immediately hold her son because he was inspected and then sent to critical care to have his breathing monitored.
Luckily, baby boy was healthy, and she was soon able to hold and milk her child before spending the night alone with him.
‘Honestly, the whole experience was amazing,’ she concluded.
‘I got to meet my baby that I carried for a very, very long time and it was just like I imagined. It was just crazy.’
