Tommy Fury planned everything for his proposal to Molly-Mae Hague, even inviting her favourite artist.
After the boxer proposed on Sunday in Ibiza, Love Island followers rejoiced.
The enamoured pair posted a short video montage of Tommy proposing while cuddling their six-month-old daughter Bambi on Instagram.
Ruth-Anne Cunnigham’s The Vow, which Molly has previously praised on social media, provided the music.
After Tommy flew her to the Spanish party island, Ruth-Anne, 39, has told about the life-changing moment for the pair.
The performer posted, “A pinch me moment!” on Instagram with behind-the-scenes footage of her serenading the proposal. Congratulations @tommyfury @mollymae on your engagement! I can’t believe I got to sing your song #thevow live for this most incredible proposal (excellent planning Tommy).
‘Molly had no idea and I know how much this song means to them & wow the most stunning location I have ever sang it in. And for the most beautiful couple.’
She added: ‘I sang my heart out just for you today. So amazing to finally meet you in person and sing this song for you. This is why I write music and wow what a moment. #thevow.’
In her Instagram stories, RuthAnne added: ‘Guys, I just sang The Vow for Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague’s engagement. I have not been able to tell anyone, I have been sworn to secrecy, I have not told a soul.
‘They’ve always been huge fans of the song and Molly-Mae has been DMing me about how much it means to them and how she would want it to be part of her wedding, engagement whatever.
‘And Tommy did all of this, she had no idea. He did such an amazing job. He flew me here to sing The Vow live for them as they got engaged. I have never sung The Vow for an engagement before, I was trying not to cry.
‘I am so happy I could be here and we did it and I am so happy.’
Molly and Tommy remember the music from their Love Island finale four years ago.
Tommy and Molly, both 24, are one of Love Island’s biggest success stories. Last year, they bought a Manchester property together.
They had Bambi in January and are now planning their wedding.
Maya Jama, Maura Higgins, and others congratulated the pair after their engagement announcement.
