Vernon Kay is officially arrived!
The I’m A Celebrity contestant debuted his new BBC Radio 2 pass on Wednesday, as he prepares to take over for Ken Bruce, who left BBC Radio 2 last week.
Vernon, 48, was named Ken’s replacement last month and has since enthused about the fascinating job.
Midweek, though, all eyes were on Vernon’s slick new BBC pass, which he revealed with his 731,000 Instagram followers.
‘And thus the @bbcradio2 journey begins!’ said the seasoned presenter. I haven’t seen one of them since @bbcradio1.’
Vernon’s tweet comes only days after Ken signed out from his final ever Radio 2 programme.

Ken got words of appreciation from fans who left voice notes for the DJ wishing him well in the future as the show began for the final time, and he was also surrounded by cards in the studio.
Ken concluded the broadcast by thanking his fans, the Radio 2 production crew, and the BBC.

In April, Ken will join Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio to host a new mid-morning show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meanwhile, Vernon will take over the helm of Radio 2 in May.
Vernon was overjoyed to be handed the microphone to conduct the mid-morning programme on Radio 2, and what an honour to follow in the footsteps of the magnificent Ken Bruce.
‘It’s a dream come true to join the Radio 2 family and I can’t wait to start.’
Helen Thomas, head of Radio 2, said: ‘Radio 2 is home to some of the UK’s best-loved presenters, and I’m thrilled to welcome Vernon to mid-mornings on Radio 2.
‘He’s a hugely talented, warm and witty host who has already proved himself to be a firm favourite with our listeners when he’s presented many and varied shows across the station. I can’t wait to hear his brilliant new show.’
Vernon’s current role comes after a career that has included hosting shows on Channel 4’s T4 as well as ITV series such as All Star Family Fortunes, Just The Two Of Us, and Beat The Star.
