After making a remark regarding Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s newborn daughter, Wayne Lineker received criticism.
The pair, both of whom are 23, met on the set of Love Island and updated their followers on the birth of their child through Instagram on Monday night.
Fans, like 60-year-old Wayne, who had been waiting for that specific upload, commented best wishes and congrats in the hundreds.
Underneath the sweet image of Molly-Mae, Tommy and the tiny newborn at the hospital, the younger brother of football icon Gary Lineker penned: ‘Amazing guys. Congratulations. That’s gonna be one good looking baby,’ alongside an orange heart emoji.
Fans of the reality TV couple were quick to point up Wayne’s comments and accuse him of being “strange” and “dodgy.”
One Instagram user wrote: ‘we know you like them young but this is so weird’, while another typed: ‘I dunno mate seems a bit dodgy that [sic]’.

The criticism of the star’s well-wishes continued in the comment section of the post with an account writing: ‘@waynelineker why are you so gross [sic]’.
Many, however, found the criticism of the renowned sibling to be offensive and rushed to his defence, arguing that such language had no place in a birth announcement.
‘Who puts all this pathetic trash on someone’s birth announcement!,’ was one fan’s response to the debate.
Similar comments read: ‘no it’s normal to say 2 good looking ppl will have a gorgeous baby u are weird for that [sic]’ and ‘You people in the replies are awful. It’s a birth announcement. Have respect.’
Even notorious YouTuber Jake Paul had something to say about the birth of the Fury baby, and he was roundly criticised by his audience for his “nasty” comments.

In anticipation of their February 26 boxing match, Jake, age 26, decided to put a harsh comment below his opponent’s post.
The social media celebrity said, “Just in time to watch your dad be knocked out,” before erasing the post from the app.
One Twitter user reacted negatively to Jake’s jab, writing, “jake paul is actually vile for this comment [sic].”
Another user commented negatively on the American celebrity, saying, “Honestly at this point I would pay a lot of money to watch Molly Mae V Jake Paul [sic].”
