Will Smith has made fun of his iconic Oscars slap in a new video, and fans are stunned.
The actor memorably smacked Chris Rock in the face at last year’s Academy Awards before returning to the stage to accept the best actor award for his part in King Richard.
Will, 54, seemed to have laughed off the incident in which he hit 58-year-old comedian Chris after the latter made a joke about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.
Will might be seen reacting to a TikToker’s viral video in which she urged people to ask things what they thought of their owners in a social media video posted this week. Isn’t that insane?
TikToker @missmoneyworking said: ‘I’m gonna tell you something, f*****g crazy. This is literally – it sounds insane, but it will change your life, and by change your life, I mean it will make your life so much more interesting and fun.’
She added: ‘Did you know, you can pick any object, look at it and ask it what it thinks of you. So, for example, you can pick up a pen and ask it how it sees you or what it thinks of you, and you will get an answer in your mind from your intuition.
‘You can ask your car what it thinks of you. You can even ask money what it thinks of you.’
Will picked up his Oscar and held it up to the camera with a troubled expression on his face after nodding along to the video, no doubt a hint to the fact that the award, if it weren’t an inanimate thing, would have a rather bad view of Will after watching him punch Chris.
Several of the award-winning star’s fans were taken aback by his recent post, and many voiced their displeasure in the comments area below the video.
One person wrote: ‘That is wild,’ while another TikToker added: ‘Too soon Will.’
‘A hard watch but worth it,’ wrote someone else, with other comments including: ‘I wasn’t expecting this’ and ‘Did not see that coming.’
Will’s antics at last year’s Oscars, which took place on March 28, will be remembered for years to come.
As Chris took the stage to deliver an award, he made an untimely joke about Jada, 51, referring to her shaved head despite the fact that she had previously opened up about suffering from the hair loss disorder alopecia.
Will immediately stormed onto the stage and smacked Chris, telling him, ‘Get my wife’s name out of your f*****g lips.’
The Academy denounced his behaviour and began an official inquiry, which resulted in a ten-year suspension from the event.
