Some people go all out when it comes to spectacular clothes, and fashion-forward star AJ Odudu surely did for the Big Brother premiere last night.
Her attire, however, does not look to be the most comfortable, as the presenter had to use lubrication to get into her exceedingly skintight blue latex catsuit.
The rebooted reality game opened with a bang on ITV, with AJ, 35, and her co-host Will Best, 38, assuming their new positions to welcome the 16 new housemates into the renowned Big Brother House.
AJ looked stunning in her fantastical dress, but according to someone who attended the event, getting into it was tougher said than done.
‘AJ looked amazing but that catsuit gave her a load of strife,’ an onlooker told The Sun.
‘First, a producer said she had to be lubed up to get into it and then her extra long wig kept getting caught on the legs with static.
‘Her stylists had to keep coming on stage with a hairdryer to stop the wig clinging to her. It was hilarious for us but less so for her.’
That wasn’t all – as the ‘hot air on her legs started causing air to escape’… which reportedly caused ‘fart sounds’.
AJ supposedly had to emphasise that it wasn’t her creating the noises. Don’t worry, AJ; we have faith in you!
The whistleblower in the audience also stated that they were told they couldn’t ‘boo anyone like in the old days’ because people in charge of the performance want it to be more ‘celebratory’ now that it’s back for 2023.
On the day Big Brother returned after a five-year break, AJ took to Instagram to thank fans for their continued support.
‘And we’re off! 🚀✨Thanks for all the love for @bbuk 🥰,’ she wrote on Instagram.
The actress stated that her custom-made wig was 60 inches long, with her locks trailing all the way down to her calfs.
Will, who looked suave in his black suit, added in his own post: ‘We’re launched!! Loved every second of it. Now tune in to ITV2 for Big Brother: Late & Live. Go! Now!!’
Big Brother returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
