Britney Spears isn’t scared to ask for what she wants after openly requesting a duet with Jay Z.
The Slave 4 U singer can be seen whirling about, twisting, and twerking to Beyonce’s country-inspired song Daddy Lessons in one of her most recent Instagram videos.
The popstar, 41, pitched her business move to Beyonce’s husband Jay Z, 53, in the caption and suggested: ‘So many people have done remixes to my songs without my knowledge … so I guess it’s safe to say I will be redoing this song eventually !!!
‘Just need to meet Jay-Z and add a rap to it … what’s up ???’
Britney’s concept of collaborating with the iconic rapper on a remix may not be as far-fetched as fans thought.
‘I can actually hearing this work and it being cute af,’ one fan tweeted supportively.
Another quipped: ‘The collab that will save us all.’
‘Imagine the energy Britney and Beyoncé would bring to a collaboration! It would be a musical powerhouse. I hope they come together soon and surprise us all,’ one wrote enthusiastically.
One other chimed in: ‘They really could’ve collaborated in the 2000s, they were both in their prime and it would’ve been a great moment.’
However, others were keen to keep Britney’s feet on the ground as one warned her: ‘Idk if it’s gonna happen, Britney…’
Beyonce, 42, is a noted Britney admirer, having included a tiny sample of the popstar’s smash Toxic on her Renaissance tour, which concluded earlier this month.
However, one questioned whether Britney’s comment about others remixing her song ‘without [her] knowledge was a shot at Beyonce.
‘I feel like this is shade for Beyoncé sampling toxic on tour lmao,’ they wondered.
Another agreed: ‘Beyoncé for using Toxic on tour.. I guess no one reached out to tell her?’
Meanwhile, people are questioning why Britney has her Christmas tree up more than two months before the holiday.
The Toxic singer appeared in front of a very tall Christmas tree covered with decorations and fairy lights while dancing to Beyonce’s song. While some fans might see why Britney would want to bring some Christmas happiness into her house, others believe it’s too soon to get into the holiday mood.
