Leigh-Anne Pinnock of Little Mix confessed she was struggling on the road away from her family as she prepared to go on a solo career.
Following her former girl band’s announced hiatus in 2021, the 31-year-old chose to go out on her own and began teasing new music.
Adapting to a profession without her three co-singers was challenging for the new mother when she travelled to Los Angeles to work on a set list with Warner Records.
She admitted on social media that she had forgotten the challenges of life as a travelling performer and was feeling ‘overwhelmed’ at being away from her twin infants with fiance Andre Gray.
The megastar opted to keep the tots’ identities disguised and their faces covered in photos of them uploaded online.
The artist detailed her sentiments and spoke up about her present mental state in a post she shared on Instagram and Twitter, accompanying a portfolio of studio photos and breathtaking selfies.
She penned: ‘I am so easily overwhelmed… even when I feel like great things are happening, I start to freak out a bit.
‘Still figuring out why I do that. I’m also super family orientated and I forgot how lonely being on the road can be. Gratitude is so grounding though.
‘I think about this whenever I get these feelings. Well… there’s your stream of consciousness for the day [sic]’.
Former Little Mix bandmates raced to the comment section to show their support for the lovely singer.
Jade Thirlwall wrote: ‘You deserve it alllllll [sic]’ followed by a red heart emoji while Perrie Edwards said: ‘You deserve the world!!! I will remind you of that every damn day [sic]’.
The popstar’s fans also came to the aid of the lonely star writing: ‘Hun you will never be alone !! We all support you and stand by you. I am extremely proud of you! I look forward to your music [sic]’.
Another gushed: ‘So proud of you Leigh! So excited to hear what you have been working on in the studio! Exciting times ahead!’
In February of last year, it was reported that Leigh-Anne had signed a solo deal with the record company, which also represents Dua Lipa.
‘Delighted to welcome Leigh-Anne Pinnock to the Warner Records family!’ said an announcement on the official Warner Records UK Twitter account at the time. ‘Sign up for her mailing list to hear about exciting news first!’
