Matty Healy was unable to resist Matt Lucas’ lips as he affectionately kissed the comedian following his recent on-stage theatrics in Malaysia during The 1975’s concert.
After Matty caused controversy in Asia by locking lips with a male bandmate in front of audiences, the openly homosexual comedian, 49, and the 34-year-old singer posed for a selfie on Instagram over the weekend.
In the photo posted to Matt’s social media account, the Little Britain star smiled as the notorious frontman deposited a kiss on the side of his head.
He shared the image with a teasing caption that read: ‘I guess @trumanblack just can’t stop kissing the boys [sic].’
Underneath the photo, admirers remarked on the tender moment and penned expressions of affection for the couple.
One said: ‘Awww this is amazing he’s got the biggest heart X [sic],’ while another wrote: ‘iconic duo i never knew i needed [sic].’

‘As he should this is so cuteee love you both xxx [sic],’ was a separate social media user’s response to the friendly smooch.
The 1975 were prohibited from Malaysia following their performance at the Good Vibes Festival on Friday, prompting their photo session.
Matty caused a national commotion when he made a speech about homosexuality, which is prohibited in Malaysia, and then kissed bassist Ross Macdonald.
On Saturday, the festival said in a statement: ‘We deeply regret to announce that the remaining schedule for Good Vibes Festival (GVF2023), planned for today and tomorrow has been cancelled following the controversial conduct and remarks made by UK artist Matt Healy from the band The 1975.’
The statement added that the decision was a “directive for immediate cancellation” from Malaysia’s Ministry of Communications and Digital.
‘The ministry has underlined its unwavering stance against any parties that challenge, ridicule or contravene Malaysian laws,’ organisers said.
‘We sincerely apologise to all of our ticket holders, vendors, sponsors and partners.’
In footage on social media, Matty said he was going to ‘pull out’ of the show as he did not ‘see the point of inviting The 1975 to a country and then telling us who we can have sex with’.
However, he disclosed that he chose to attend the festival so as not to disappoint his followers.
