Ed Sheeran performed for a throng in a Nashville karaoke club over the weekend, returning to the renowned venue.
In a video shared on Instagram, the singer was seen leading the crowd in a full-throated and extremely enthusiastic rendition of the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 smash I Want It That Way.
Dad-of-two Ed, 32, lived in Nashville a decade ago while working on music, so the visit to the Christmas-themed hangout seemed like a homecoming.
He also made the visit after playing at the city’s Nissan Stadium on Saturday night as part of his international Mathematics Tour, where he recently surprised fans by bringing out Eminem.
After jumping up and down to hype the crowd as they kicked off I Want it That Way, he yelled: ‘Let’s get f**king lit!’
Ed was sure to join in as well, demonstrating his knowledge of the renowned boy band by lending his abilities to the harmonising bits.

The film then cuts to Ed reminiscing about the place from the back of his car before his visit, explaining: ‘When I lived in Nashville in 2013 I used to go to this karaoke caravan called Santa’s. It only does $1 (78p) PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon beer) and it does karaoke, and it’s the best.’
The Bad Habits chart-topper then showed off a new custom T-shirt design from Santa’s done in his honour, as he added: ‘[The owner]’s made a T-shirt with my face on it and we’re going there tonight.’
Ed was then shown working behind the bar, serving beer and cheekily tapping the top of one patron’s bottle before handing it to her, forcing her to drink it quickly as liquid spilled over the top.
He also gave out T-shirts to Santa’s Pub attendees before leading them in a rendition of his hit song, Thinking Out Loud, next to a bride and groom.

Ed also sung along with the audience as the groom gave his bride a whirl, dipping her at the end, encouraging the crowd to join in on serenading the newlyweds.
‘Will you make some noise for the happy couple!’ Ed then shouted, as the audience obliged.
The award-winning singer wrote in the description of his video that he was having a record-breaking night.
‘Celebrating breaking the attendance record at Nissan stadium in Nashville tonight at Santas pub psic]. When I lived here this was the spot and it still is.
‘Karaoke caravan and cheap beer, what’s not to love x,’ he added.
The singer-songwriter recently showed his love for Nashville on Instagram Stories, posting a shot of himself wearing Tennessee Titans regalia, including a large hat and pendant on a chain.

‘Back in Nashville mu**kas,’ he wrote in the caption.
Unfortunately, his trip in Tennessee has not been without incident, as support artist Cat Burns was unable to perform with him on Saturday.
The Brit Award-nominee took to Instagram to apologise to fans, writing: ‘Nashville! I’m so sorry I’m having to write this, but unfortunately due to flight cancellations I won’t be able to support @teddysphotos for his show tonight.
‘I’m so sad and I wish I could have seen you all and performed for you all but it’s sadly completely out of my control.’

She added: ‘You are all gonna have an amazing time, and I’ll see you soon. x’
Ed also had a swath of concertgoers wind up in the hospital earlier this month in Pittsburgh, after 17 people were transported from his Acrisure Stadium show.
On July 8, temperatures at the site reached 30.5 °C, and all 17 victims were brought to the hospital to be evaluated for heat-related ailments.
