Tammy Slaton has no tolerance for pregnancy rumours after being questioned about her marriage to Caleb Willingham.
After a whirlwind relationship, the 1000-Lb Sisters star married her lover in a low-key wedding in November at the weight reduction clinic where they met.
Their wedding was filmed for cameras as part of her TLC show, which is presently showcasing the happy couple in wedding preparation mode.
On a forthcoming episode, the bride was shown having a heated conversation with her family, who couldn’t help but wonder if there was another reason for the rapid engagement.
‘I’m going to ask the question that all four of us [are] really dying to really want to know,’ she was asked in footage obtained by Entertainment Tonight. ‘Are you pregnant?’
‘Nobody’s having a shotgun wedding,’ she simply replied.
Speaking in a confessional, the reality star insisted: ‘The heck? I ain’t pregnant.
‘This is crazy. I can’t believe my family thinks I’m getting married because I’m pregnant. They’re stupid.
‘I just want my family to support me and be happy for me. It’s my life and I should get what I want.’
Tammy clarified once and for all that the ceremony is on a certain timeframe due to the individuals she has invited from the rehab centre where they live.
‘I get it and we both understand, but people here would like to come. My friends, the family we’ve made here,’ she clarified to her loved ones.
‘Thank God,’ sister Amy Slaton – who fronts 1000-Lb Sisters with Tammy – added to the camera, joking: ‘Next step is to get on birth control.’
Tammy and Caleb said “I do” on November 19, at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center, in front of their loved ones.
But, Amy’s anxiety that their wedding was approaching ‘awfully soon’ slowed her progress to the altar.
In a recent episode, she consented to be Tammy’s bridesmaid, telling the bride that she loved her ‘unconditionally,’ but noting that she didn’t know Caleb ‘enough’ enough to say the same for him.
In a confessional, the mom-of-two conceded: ‘No matter what concerns I have, no matter if I’ve met Caleb or not, my sister is getting married. I’m going. At the end of the day, it’s her health and her happiness.
‘But if I meet him and there’s some red flags, you ain’t getting married.’
