Tammy Slaton proved her naysayers wrong when she stepped on the scales to announce her massive weight reduction.
In earlier episodes of 1000Lb Sisters, the 36-year-old sobbed after finding that she was at her heaviest, 717lbs, and was coming closer to her goal weight of 550lbs.
She is ‘thrilled’ to find that her great hard work at the food recovery clinic is paying off in a new clip from the forthcoming episode.
The camera moves across to her ecstatic family as she is told she weighs 534 pounds and may now go under the knife.
‘When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kind of stopped breathing for a second,’ she tells the camera.
‘I’m like 14lbs under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop.

‘I did that! I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions.
‘I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got my told-you-so moment!’
Tammy made news last year when she was taken to the hospital after arriving to a weight loss centre – scenes from the season three finale.
Doctors warned her family that her body was’shutting down,’ advising them to brace for the worst.
After she awoke and recovered sufficiently to return to the treatment centre, the fourth series of the TLC programme focused on her recovery.
In an interview with People Magazine, she discussed her health and that she had learnt a lot since those difficult sequences were recorded.
‘My near-death experience has taught me not to take life for granted,’ she said. ‘I now live my life how I want to and not how others want me to.
‘It has also mellowed me out. I try harder to not get mad as easily and try to figure out a way around the situation.
‘I’m grabbing the bull by the horns and taking control of my life again and not letting my body defeat me.’
‘I told y’all that this wasn’t the end of me,’ she added. ‘The new and improved Tammy is on the way.’
1000Lb Sisters airs on Tuesdays on TLC at 9pm.
