Danni Menzies has talked openly about the psychological impact of her harrowing moped tragedy.
The Place In The Sun actress, 35, was rushed to the hospital after being hit down in Battersea, London, in October 2022, when two ladies on a moped lost control and drove into her at 30mph.
The presenter was rendered unconscious before being rushed to the hospital, and she had earlier uploaded photographs of herself undergoing treatment and lying on the ground immediately after the event.
Danni said in a new interview that she “could’ve died” and that the event left her devastated.
‘I could’ve died. It was really scary. I had to get scans for bleeding on the brain, my face was really messed up. I was depressed for a few months.’
Danni added to the Sun: ‘My life went on hold for a bit. That was really tough. It took a while.’
As for how she healed mentally, Danni added: ‘I did a bit of therapy. I’ve been doing energy healing, doing sound baths, doing all that stuff.’
Thankfully, the actress is now “ready to go” and eager to “push herself” this year.
Danni, who just announced her resignation from A Place In The Sun, uploaded images of the situation shortly after it happened, revealing her hair and face were covered in blood.
She was also seen holding a bloody tissue in her hand and lying on a hospital stretcher in another shot.
She wrote at the time: ‘So, on Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control.
‘Didn’t see it coming and it’s not looking pretty right now to be honest.
‘I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime, I might be a wee bit quiet on here.’
